Taking Delivery 11-1-2002
I just came back from my MB dealership. I am taking delivery of my 2003 cl 55 on Friday Nov 1,2002 . Pricing is as follows:

I am getting rid of 1999 C4 Loaded with all the goodies. Hope this is worth it. The car is very fast, however, no way is it going to handle like a porsche. However, more luxury, comfort and still quicker than the 911.

Congrats on the car! We just got in our first car from the port yesterday & I got a chance to take it around the block & I have one word for you: SWEET!! The car we got was an extra car from MBUSA, Silver with Charcoal & no extra options. I must say I like the upgrades the MB made on the interior, new Navi, new window switches & new buttons about the Navi, as well as the same seats as the SL55. VERY NICE!!!!!!

Hey,
I noticed on the mbusa website a picture of a cl 55 which had like a AMG type of piece stiched into the Front two seats is this what i can expect to see in mine. i really liked the way it looked !!!

You will be seeing those in your car. Those are the AMG sport seats. Look Beautiful. I just sat in them today at MarcusBenz's Dealership. They have a silver CL55 that is absolutely gorgeous.

Those seats look awesome !!!!!! How about some pics of that 2003 CL 55, i have yet te see how beautiful they are in person!!!! Also do you know if our command system will be able to be retrofitted to play DVD or playstaion or accept rca inputs such as the other mercedes!!!

Unfortunately, it was not very far, only about 1000 ft. I got to drive it from in front of the dealership around back to the detail dept. The exhaust is outstanding & the seats are incredible, if only I had two weeks, the car & a Black American Express card. Well, we all can dream can't we, at least I got to do what few people will ever get to do Drive it!!!!

I am sure that you made the right choice with the CL55. Although nothing handles like a 996 with 4wd or provides quite the same driver satisfaction, the CL is in many ways the better daily driver and will, of course, be faster. I just traded my 02 C4S, but have an 02 CL 500 sport and expect my 03 CL55 in the first quarter of next year. Oh yes, the CL even in 55 trim will not be the police magnet that the Porsche is. Excellent choice and good luck with your delivery on Friday!

If your dealer does not know that the '03 CL55 will be supercharged or not, you need to find another dealer. They are light years behind everyone else. On second thought, that might be a good thing, you might get a deal (discount) from them that no other dealer will touch. To answer your question, yes the 2003 CL55 & S55 AMG's will be V8 Kompressors.

My MB dealer is horrible, but he has been know to come up with some deals, I think it's more that he plays dumb and they might not have the best relationship with Mercedes, they don't seem to get many of the AMG cars. I want to get rid of my 2001 M5 and get into an AMG car, I just can't decide which one. I need a four seater, I think the E55 is the best value, but I really like the CL55. I'll see how business goes then decide, a CL600 is not bad either, or S55, so many choices.

IMHO, the E55 is the best all around AMG car that Mercedes offers. As I have stated before the car has plenty of power, very sleek looking & the ability to carry 4 to 5 people comfortably. Another plus for the E55 is that you can pick up a '01 or '02 plenty cheap & get alot of car for little money! Again, this is my opinion & some may agree or disagree, but I stand firm in my word & can have facts to back it up!!!

As Marcus suggested the E55 is a great car. Do not misunderstand me, I Love the CL 55 especially with the 493 HP, however, you are going to lay out a lot of wood on this baby. After taxes I am looking at roughly $130K.
