ecu'd cl65 runs 11.8@119

2005 cl65 with kleeman ecu/tcu runs 11.8@119, in vegas, on a cool january day, drag radials, +2200 ft da.

shouldn't this be faster being a 65 with an ecu? this sounds like stock numbers. just worried about buying a ecu'd cl600 and only running high 12's.

edit- with exhaust upgrade & filters ran 11.60@121.

any thoughts?

that car should be a bit faster and definitely quicker on drag radials. If you get a Cl600 you should run 11's all day

agree should be a bit quicker but what kind of power did it make? what was the 60ft? as far as I know no tuning company offers any type of exhaust that increase any hp? was the guy running in c or s or m mode? I know in AZ last weekend there was a full renntech sl65 that was running 11.4's but I guess that car had run in the 10"s before. The DA was 2500-3000 I think? To many questions as to why the cl65 didnt run faster. I wouldnt worry about getting the cl600 and getting an ecu if you learn how to drive the car you will be in the 11's.

your videos are confusing, are they all the same vehicle? FYI this CL65 does NOT make 675 RWHP.

I could tell you that the car in the video could not be running 100% because it would destroy the cobra even with bolt-ons.

same 65 in all vids. i think the run with the cobra was with no ecu upgrade. against the 02 z it just had the ecu. the 06 zo6 it had exhaust/filters/ecu. just showing that this heavy rocket can hang/beat alot of superfast cars. all these runs were in vegas so hopefully somebody knows somebody who knows the owner. would really like to get a ride in a stock 65 or modded 600 to see how this car truly feels before i make my purchase on an 03 cl600.

dont qoute me on the 675rwhp. thats what i heard thru the vine, will research and find moe info. prob was 675 @crank or 675twtq??

That CL belongs to Daniel Dolofan. I don't think he ever upgraded his intercooler or pump. That could be a reason the car is not performing as it should.

A cobra with just those mods would not - no way - no chance (period).
However, with more mods it would run with it.

Your worst nightmare...
I have seen the video and would expect the CL to be much faster. I wish there were really more videos out there or owners that really modified their cars like the E owners, lol, I guess that is why it's a big comfy rocket.., Soon that will change, wait until I get my beauty she will be modded to the teeth..

In terms of the 1/4 times...either the driver was not very good at launching her or it definitely says much about the pump issue. Hell, we got Enzom in a stock E55 running nearly mid 11's and man he coould put those ponnies to the pavement now this 65 with a boat load of torque. There is not much info in terms of 60 footer and what not...

Niiiicee! That is one of the many reasons why Im getting the CL65. It's one bad *****. Shut yo mouth.
Nice car, giggalo. Me and you have the same theme going on. How much did you pay for those biturbo letters on your fenders? Im probably gonna throw those on my Lorinser fenders to let these ricers(both import and domestic) know what just put 6 BUS lenghts on them on the highway.

Jody, your CL65 is guaranteed to hit 10's lol, don't sweat it bro. With the way you like to mod and your skill, it could very well be a record breaker. Just pray that I don't grab hold of a CL65 myself lol. I'd like to hit 10's easy with no spray and get well into it with a little laughing gas lol. The CL65 does a lot of things right for me but I have a feeling I'll get tempted by the P turbo lol.

i go tthem at the dealership for $200. but you can get them aftermarket for much cheaper. they are just letters (silver coated plastic) so its not like it will be crappier performance if you dont buy oem. Make sure that they spelled biturbo right and all the fonts are the same and you should be straight....

Yeah, I agree, something was wrong with that car.

My '05 CL65 went 120 mph in the quarter with no traction, stock, with 550 rwhp, in Houston (sea level).
