Getting CL65 Tomorrow!!!
I am going to the selling dealership tomorrow morning to pick up my 2005 CL65 (W215). I am super excited...like those kids in the Disney commercial ("I'm too excited to sleep"). The car is Black Opal/Charcoal, 17K miles, distronic, parktronic and chestnut interior trim. I am driving about 180 miles to pick it up. I will try to take pictures this weekend.

Your gonna have one hell of a drive home with that baby... imagine walking down the aisle at your wedding, instead the aisle is 180 miles long. Congradulations. Do you mind me asking how much yoiu go it for? My brother is looking into them.

I am paying a smidge higher than the $68K figure (good guesstimate). I had hoped less too but I really wanted under 20K miles and no one else was willing to deal even close to this price on a car with no "stories" and below 20K miles. Parktronic was also a must for me...my last two cars had it and I am now dependent on the beeps (sad but true). There are a lot of CL65's out there with parktronic deleted (kind of weird, if you ask me). I had a MB dealer inspect it and it is in near perfect shape (I'll confirm myself). When I spoke to the SA he was really excited about the car (which made me feel pretty good about the purchase).
Jason, I should be back in Bethesda in the afternoon. I will hit you up then (I want to check out your CL600).

not even close to a MB, but it hauls 10,000 lbs

Can anyone explain how the 2005 CL65's are so "cheap" compared to their new price? Is there anything to look out for?

Tom Congrats!!! Beat me to the punch man, lol! I am still waiting I guess..
, I want a white CL, there are really not many right now which makes it super difficult to obtain a deal. I have no rush so I could wait the most until June. After that if i don't find it then I will pick any color, what ever comes my way, lol!

Congrats! I too am likely to pick up a CL65 this summer.
I convinced a friend of mine, formally of the bimmer clan, (Dinan M3, Schnitzer M6, X5 4.4is times 3, X3 sport, 750il and 760il) to switch to the CL600 from the M6. He did and as a result also purchased a CL65. At the end of this summer he said he will let the 65 go to me for an AMAZING 40k!! The car will most likely have 30k or under in miles so I can't be more excited to upgrade from my 55 model CL. Its nice to have friends in high places 
He is replacing the 65 with the new Aston Martin DBZ in a barolo red color. Not my first choice but who cares! Pretty good deal for me!! Just thought I'd share my excitment. It is also soon to be chipped and already has a Valentine V1 etched into the rearview and diffusers all around. Enjoy your new 65!
