Your worst nightmare...
My new look- Black Bison..

Since I decided to make her a keeper, I have found some new love in her...everywhere I go so much compliments. I haven't driven her much but for these holidays everwhere I go she is a head turner...

Just need to get rid of those damn yellow markers...

Sorry for the crappy pics took them with my BB storm...

Sent the wheels and grill to quicksilver here in Long Island, they powdercoated them and decided to blacken the entire grill black as well.

I think it would really pop if the star were still chrome and the lips on the wheels were left polished. If you are going to go black, in my opinion you need to black out all the chrome, sidemarkers, and the tailights.

I am doing it in Phases...but that is definitely next...I have to see how it grows on me first..lol. I definitely like the look, next thing will be the sidemarkers, tailights were smoked a bit, and the chrome accents might just stay there until later on...

+1,000 black out the chrome strips, EZ as pie buy the Black gloss Vinyl off Ebay apply w/squeegee if you don't like it, peals off easily (you can cover your side markers & door handles w/it too, side markers took me 5 min per side, use exacto knife to cut to fit..

PS...RED calipers will set that project off

Let's see pictures of the taillights being lightly smoked. I have been very interested in doing this but have not seen anybody else do it yet.

Quicksilver does great work, they oem colormatched the calipers on my friends Lexus IS-F.

The powdercoating looks great.

Your worst nightmare...
Thanks guys for the compliments and too bad for those that dindn't like it ...trust me the pictures don't do it justice. As far as the chrome stripes, they will remain there as it gives the car some contrast and edge. I definitely like it the way it is...I will try to get a picture of the smoked tail lights. The only part smoked were the clear stripes, they got smoked to a greish color.

Now to the calipers....I hear the wind saying yellow...After seing obsidians Black E55 with the yellow calipers it definitely looks nice. With my black wheels this is definitely a nice color combo. I thought of red but red is everywhere and many people are doing the red thing. I guess I want to try something different.

Nice....the problem is it is pretty low already...I don't want to lower it anymore as here there are a lot of potholes and it could be a bit bumpy and hard at times...I will just get a lowering module and try to lower her just on the fly on highways. Other than that I will do the side markers and calipers and call it a day. lol

How do you like the front lip spoiler?

Wow! just realised what put me off your car, it's the reflectors. You call them
sidemarkers and there YUK. I always take them off cars I have, Subaru STI
Jaguar XKR to name a few. I just take them to the paint shop have them removed, filled and painted ,about 200 pounds. Please dont black them or
colour them they have to be gone then I think your BB will look great.
Just out of interest my 65 does not have side markers/reflectors , guess it's different for Europe. They didn't show before you changed I guess that's why I preferred it that way.

Hi, I think your sidemarkers would be better tha same colour as the car, it
would finish it off nicely.

oooouuuuu...makes me want to have my monolites done as well.

..whats your take on the same black with a silver pin stripe along the outer lip? Is the stripe thing getting old yet?

Looks awesome, assume its a gloss black or at least semi-gloss?

Lastly, do your monolites have "forged" and "rentech" engraved into the outside lip/face??

I want your car

Thanks! Your idea sounds hot and unique, I'd say try it and see how you like it.
This is a gloss black, did it this way to compliment the car paint.
The monolites don't have the name engraved...so it was easy to blacken.
