Hmm...I wonder if it was a big risk doing that because you would have to get something really good to seal that back perfectly so no moisture will enter the housing. I'm not sure of any particular product that can perform this job but be careful. Let me know if you were able to acquire a proper sealing product.

Sorry I didn't take any pics of the split open. I just pulled them apart by hand no heat required but it was a hot day I am not sure if that helped or not. I got it started by putting a flat head screw driver inbetween the housing and lens and twisted and when it started to come apart I just grabbed it and pulled them apart carefully by hand. Putting some heat on them I am sure wouldn't hurt.
