2005 CL65 New Owner Pics
You may have remembered the thread where I was thinking about a 65 at Fletcher Jones in Vegas. 8500 miles. Well I got it. Had it delivered and it showed up in a single car race trailer, thanks to Bruce who hangs out around this forum. He lined up the shipping for me and also has fantastic deals on very good warranties for AMG's. I've since polished every square inch of it, coated it with carnuba three times after letting each coat sit for a day, then took it all off and polished like crazy. I think I have this black as good as it gets. I'll post some cleaned up pics when the weather turns a bit better. WOW, what a car. Awesome platform, runs and drives so dang smooth. It's unbelievable. That 2nd gear animalistic grunt is simply amazing! I haven't gotten it out in the open road yet. I did get pulled over, had no plates, no temp, handed him my license and he said "oh, you live in town here" i said yes i do and i do know the speed limit on this road. He looked the car up and down, walked to the center of it, looked it up and down again, handed me back my license and said you better slow it down a little. I said i will, thanks. Mesmerized by the AMG!!

Congrads and its beautiful. What a find at 8500mi. Enjoy.
BTW...........
Hope you got the swirl marks out of the deep black color. If not, you may wish to try an orbital buffer like they sell at Groits Garage. I got one and it takes the finish to another level.
If possible, can you share the price and the extended warranty stuff with us?

Thanks Guys !
Funny, I do have Griots products. The three and six inch orbitals. Cleaned and clay bar, then I used the number two polish on some areas but mostly their number three. Then the wax technique as described in one of Griots videos using their best of show wax and then the spray on was to dissolve all the layers. I drove it to the Griots flagship store in Tacoma. They had me pull it in their garage of all garages. They demo'd all of their products on my hood. I picked up a 415 dollar package that included both orbitals and enough supplies to fully detail at least four cars...maybe six.
I got a Fidelity warranty with the car. Seven years, 70k miles with a 100 dollar deductible. It's exclusionary and the paragraph of exclusions is very very small. It's the platinum level of coverage which is the best you can get. I got it very cheap through Fletcher Jones in Vegas. I happened to be the one that they had to sell to get to a certain bonus level. They sold it to me for under 4k. No kidding. I'm so stoked to have such awesome coverage for so long. I don't want to talk price of the car really, to much opinion on that topic, and I'll probably be told that I over paid by 15k. Maybe not by you Berman, but you know what i mean. It's really low miles, not alot of options, but it has brand new tires, new window tint and it's in near mint condition. The passenger mirror has two small scrapes or dings and the front end has four or five small chips. Other than that, it's gorgeous and runs flawlessly strong. Came with all books and both keys and all the goodies in the trunk untouched. The TPMS is giving me some messages though. I'll get that fixed with the warranty.

That's a GREAT price for the fidelity warranty...i was quoted $8k for 3 yrs/36k miles on my 55k S600(I paid $4k for 2 yrs 24k/miles for my CPO/MB warranty), so I'd say your warranty's worth about $15-20k by my book
Enjoy!

Welcome to the AMG M275 W215 Club!
Very addicting lead footing that throttle when you can
I was thinking of getting another one, especially that one with < 9k miles and shrink wrapping it and put it into storage (after checking it out of course).

Great deal on the warranty. I paid $6,700 for 5yr/60,000mi, platnium from FJ.
You did not overpay--You got a factory fresh, 8500mi, $200k exotic car for less than a new Avalon. That is a deal of a deal on a diminishing resource. When these cars are gone, they are gone.

Congrats On The Delivery...
Reading your story reminded me of the day they rolled my CL55 off the trailer in front of my house. I'll never forget how happy I was to see that thing and know that for all the times I gawked and drooled over what IMO is still one of Mercedes' most timelessly designed vehicles.... I could finally say that one belonged to me!!! What a great feeling, right? Thanks for sharing and enjoy that thing!
