The 65 motors are very quiet and I am a big mustang guy too. The note you are looking for will be accomplished by just straight piping the mufflers. Sounds crazy but it will not be no where near as loud as if you straight pipe a mustang. You will love it, only other mod I would do is a ECU tune. That should net you about 60rwhp/150rwtq. You could also opt for the tcu tune for quicker crisper shifting. After that get some drag radials, you will need it

The CL55 is a lot louder outside than it is from the inside with the windows up. Much more so than with any car I have ever seen. Somehow it is sedan quiet inside while everyone outside is looking at you. I"m guessing if you want to hear it from the inside, it is going to have to be pretty darned loud.

The M113K motors are way louder than the biturbo 6.0 The turbos act as cats themselves, so I would just cut to the chase and remove the mufflers and add straight pipes

First start up is with cutouts closed, second start up is open headers

Double pane glass.

I think this is what you meant, but just to clarify, the turbos do not act as catalytic converters in the sense of cleaning the exhaust of NOx and such that a cat would. But they do quiet the exhaust as a side effect of their operation, much like a cat.

At the minimum....An ECU tune and full exhaust. Then intercoolers, intake, and then upgraded turbos.
