Washer fluid disappearing-Where should I look?
Is this a known issue or am I just unlucky? I guess I will start taking it apart tomorrow.

Hi, got the same condition on my last 2 cl,s; I dont use the washers much and fluid level goes down noticeably every few months with no evident leaks. My more disturbing thought is if its evaporating it may be fractioning off my winter freeze protection. Im going to give the fluid a gravity check in nov and compare that to fresh. If I find out anything I'll post it. Hope u find out.

The reservoir is heated by an electric element and therefore water WILL evaporate faster.

Well it has been about 105 F for the last couple of months. But losing a gallon that fast still seems pretty odd. But there's no puddle.

I'm still active here, but post mailing in the Tech area.
I fill up the washer reservoir every time I was my car. I find it evap's an inch every four weeks or so.

Good imfo on the res heating, I assume it dosent heat a parked car, battery killer. You may have read my concern about losing freeze protection from fractional evaporation. I couldnt do a specific gravity check of new and exposed fluid as the dealer tops my res so the mix is unknown, however I put a sample of new and the current res fluid in my refridgerator freezer at 0-f, the res fluid sample froze in 2 hours, the new fluid didnt. I will drain and replace my res befor storing for our ohio winter as I did last year.

I have the same problem right now. My service advisor told me it was a broken hose but I checked it out myself and it turned out to be a faulty washer pump. Very easy to check.

Faulty how? Squirts somewhere other than on the windshield? Or just leaks slowly all the time? And how do I check? Thanks in advance.

Well, I took it to the dealer. MB of Sugar Land. They checked out and reflashed the Nav, no charge. They replaced two washer reservoir grommets (123-997-36-81 and 010-997-11-81) for a total charge, with tax of $78, and they washed it and gave me a new loaner car. You can't beat service like that. The price was less than my extended warranty deductible of $100. I love those guys. My service guy was "Doug" who looks just like Christopher Titus. Nice guy.

the problem was the part that connected to the hose snapped so I was leaking fluid slowly over time. You can literally just pull the pump out to check.
glad to hear your issues were solved
