Racing seats in a W215

Saw this pic a couple days ago and thought hmmm...

It's from the pre-face lifted CL 55 AMG safety car.
I was thinking since my car is looking ridiculously crazier and huge power is on tap, how cool would it be to get some really awesome racing seats, harness and all. Keep in mind, my car isn't grandpas stock CL.

I know I'd lose the heated, ventilated, pulse seat functions, but as a driving perspective it would be a lot more fun. I would only do it for the drivers seat though. Beautiful lady passengers get really impressed with the heated, ventilated, pulse seats lol. I don't mind personally losing those functions to have a rawer feeling vehicle. So what do you think? Should I get some Recaro/Bride, who makes the coolest ones and have them stitched to say AMG? Or would I be able to buy a seat from the CLK/SL Black Series and have them mounted?

I say don't do it. My seats are one of my favorite things about the car. I never feel uncomfortable...and I know I could drive 500 miles without even the slightest back ache if I needed to.

Do it!! Those are cool seats, if you like to race and save weight. Stockers go back in easy, so keep both sets.

Thats what I'm saying. I wouldn't just get rid of the stock seats. If anything, because they'd be off, I may find a way to retrofit the air scarf feature from an SL since they use pretty much the same shaped headrest
But yeah, I think it'd be so original to have these racing seats in a CL. I was just wondering what kind I need or if the Black Series ones would work.

This is Jeremy Clarkson describing the SL Black Series seats. Even without audio, I think it works.

looks cool

but if you've never sat in buckets before or you frequently drive... i def recommend you go sit in one before you make a purchase. even reclinable like low max from bride or the vision, def not road trip worthy, and they run up to $1800 a seat

I wouldn't change them. Just have the stock seats redone into a sportier design. going from my CLs seats to the oem CLK BS seats I think it's the thing I miss the most lol. Not to mention heating, cooling on top of just general comfort.
