Number 11 is the front lower control arm and 7 is the rear lower control arm.

$255 a piece, which seems pretty fair...is there a reason you need to replace the entire arm?

i heard some squeaking when going over bumps and leaving my driveway, so i got it checked out, turns out my control arm needed replacement on the drivers side so i replaced both.

still have a minor squeak when turning the steering wheel at certain times, so i got it checked out again, it was funny when they said control arms since i just changed them.

I didn't know the front had 2 lower control arms, either way thanks alot for the link because they wanted 500$ each and you just saved me $$$ that can go somewhere else on the car

Sounds like you just need to replace the ball joints, and not the entire arms.

yeah but apparently i have no choice since its too much work to just get to the ball joints, i rather just get the new arms with ball joints and pay 2 hours labour and call it a day

Ball joints are simple and quick to replace using the correct tools.

The lower control arm bushings are tougher to replace and need the right cup and press.

My buddy and I replaced my ball joints with the correct tools and it was fairly straight forward. A little scary at times (dismounting all joints), but certainly easy enough.

One lower control arm (the rear one on the front). The one the front is called "radius arm". All bushings are serviceable but do require a press out tools. The press in is easy with a shop press.

Be careful with the rubber bushings. They are all hydraulic and if forced the wrong way will spray oil. Ask me how I know.

Squeaking without free play can be silenced with lubricants. Free play is cured by replacing.

Parts.com is the cheapest oem parts source.

It is a fun weekend project of you have the tools.

Thanks! I always try to help when I can.

That's why we're all part of a community (end the sappy cliché).

Maybe someone can help me out. Does the lower control arm (#7) attach to the strut with hardware of any type? My control arm doesn't want to separate from the strut, and I suspect the female torx head I see at the bottom of the strut might be some type of retainer. Thanks.

Can the ball joints of both the frontmost and rearmost lower control arms be replaced? It seems like just the rearmost can but I wanted to double check before buying the entire front lower control arm.

Also, are all 4 (left and right, front and rear) ball joints the same part number?

I figured out the answer to my question above and now have all the parts. Now, what all does the job entail? Sounds like its pretty straight forward but i have very little suspension experience and i dont know what all to remove or watch for.
