Front camber tire ware "inside"

The tires on my 05 CL65 (front) have worn on the inside edge very bad. The rest of the tire looks almost new. At least 15 k on them. I took a look at the setup and didn't notice any adjustments.

Is there a camber kit for the front ?

This is normal for how the CL (W215) suspension geometry is. Front tires have been my biggest expense with this car (which may not be a bad thing )

I've looked into dialing out negative camber but in turn the handling of this 4000lb beast would be sacrificed both in cornering and slow speed turns.

Were not alone. Many modem high performance vesicles such as BMW, etc. have this same issue for the same reasons.

K-MAC offers camber kit for the W215 but as the previous member posted you may sacrifice performance...

Part #502516 K
Price = $480

I see, sounds like I'll just keep the car as is. I did get some mileage out of the tires and do like its handling

same here. front tires wore on the inside, rear tires wore on the outside. is thsi normal. multiple alignments didn't help the situation.

Drive harder

I have noticed that amg cars thrive when driven aggressively without being abused.

My wife's CLK500 has done the opposite. It eats the outside of the front tires and the inside of the rears, and the alignment is absolutely within spec.

What config of tires and wheels you are using?

PS

Looks like some new hp winter and stud less winter tires are coming. Mostly refreshes of proven brands.

My tech tells me most tires show wear, in addition to the conditions noted above, in the middle too because most folks and tire dealers overinflated the tires. I run Hankook V12, poor man's summer delight, about 3 lbs (10%) higher than the door plaque for slightly better handling (sidewalls) without sacrificing ride. ( somehow the things went up to the low 40s and the ride was too stiff.) wonder if super high tire pressures and/or larger wheels with lower aspect ratios contribute to ABC failures, all other things being equal. Such things would certainly add ongoing stress to the system, especially if one didn't have the system reprogrammed for the new shoe size. Sorry don't mean to hijack your thread but I figured your question had been answered well.
