V12-Biturbo
I'm chasing down huge boost leak too now... Thank you Shardul! Your advice, diagrams etc are invaluable!
Curious, from what you're saying even on stock v12tt's the intense heat degrades these cheaply made vacuum/boost lines easily over time. My MB tech says "We never see boost leaks in unmodified v12's blabla" I'm no authority on these matters like Shardul, but you'd think a 10+ yr mb tech would have a decent grasp of such repairs by now? He noted he wouldn't even no where to begin looking? Lol...
Thank God for people like Shardul...

Mine turned out to be the upstream of TB MAP sensor. Apparently it had been replaced with an air box MAP sensor. They are different from the ones upstream and downstream of the TB, which I did not know.
When I looked at MAP values with my STAR (which I got from "the man" himself, Shardul) I found the upstream sensor reading about 15#'s of boost with the car off. Called my local Autozone (on a Sunday) and they said there was only one listed for the car so I bought it, put it in, and still had the same wrong value. Traced everything and couldn't find a problem. Swapped the new one with one from an air box and still had the wrong reading from the upstream sensor. Messing with it and broke the tip off the new sensor so got another one from NAPA who also said the sensors are all the same, and still had the same, wrong reading. Finally pulled the ignition module off and noticed the downstream sensor had a blue sticker unlike the others which were all green. Sure enough different part #. Swapped the one in the upstream position for the downstream one and sure enough, correct reading upstream and wrong reading downstream.
Finally got the right sensor from MB dealership a yeehaw, 21#'s of boost!
