No Aux input!!
I do not have the Aux input in my glove box. So I did some research and thought that I should be able to add the Aux input by adding a harness that goes from the passenger side door sill to the glove box. But after reading more about it on this forum and other ones out there, it looks like that is not possible. I guess that option is available on 2003 and earlier models, but not on 2004 and +. Now that really sucks!!
I know I can add either Dension or Mobridge but would like to find a cheaper way to do this first.
Here's what I would like to do, and hopefully I can get some good advice from someone who has already gone through this:
I would love to have the ability to stream music from my iphone through Bluetooth or A2DP (i already have my iphone set up with bluetooth through the hand rest V60 cradle). If not, I would settle for a wired Aux input.
If in fact i would have to go the iPod integration route, which one is recommended? Dension, Mobridge...etc.
I also noticed some aftermarket audio head unit that's selling on ebay for about $500, that has all the bells and whistles with touch screen and all.
Please share any useful info.
Thanks
so it can be done .
An Aux input should not bring up any information on your screen nor give you the ability to scroll up/down and control your playlists.
I had an integration system in my previous car (BMW E60) and it was great. I'm kind of disappointed that i may have to go back to CDs now. Or i guess i just have to man up and spend $600 on the new Dension BT system.
Thanks
