Spark Plug Change V12 TT?
Anyone have changed their own plugs on here? is this hard to do on these cars? I have done plugs on my past cars but never on this car with the amount of room to work with I want a heads up if I'm getting into too much work or its not as hard as it seems? I want to know if there is a DIY or if anyone that has done it can offer me a hand of maybe some simple instructions or tips to save time.

There is a good tutorial on the v12 site here, ex pictures and many coments. I changed mine useing it, it took longer than they said, I was very deliberate, not a bad idea the first time as its a bigger pita than the instructions indicate. The air box o ring seals were stuck to the turbo inlets and took quite a lot of persuadion to remove, the innercoolers are hard to move aside, remember to remove the delicate pressure transducer from the ics first, and the coil pacs are *****es to remove gently, mercedes makes a tool for that, you can do it without the tool, I pryed carefully in many places to remove mine. Theres the small things such as wires and tubing that you also need to deal with. Of course I cleaned everything carefully. The first time plan on a day.

I did it on my EV12, tight as a ****, so you should have more space...Just make sure what ever you do you treat those coil packs as gentle as you can...pull each end out little by little.... don't just pull out one end abruptly as it may damage the board, then you will be in for a lot of $$. Sure, its not as easy as other cars, and there are a lot of them, but there's no point paying anyone to do it for if you're practically minded.
You have to lift the air filters, charge coolers and coil packs.
Fortunately, the charge coolers don't have to be disconnected, just lifted.
(There are no inlet manifolds to move out the way - hurrah!).
You need to remove the black plastic vacuum pipe that goes over the left filter intake.
Be VERY careful with the sensors, wires and coil packs.
The coil pack connections have sliding locks - don't force them.
Always cover the turbo inlets when you remove the air filter assemblies.

I did it. Wasn't as bad as I thought I'd be.
I recommend also to inspect and carefully clean the spark plug hole cavitys with a bit of simple green to get any traces of oil or crud off... I used a hemostat and rolled up slice of paper towel (dipped in simple green) on the tip of the hemostat and twisted it around the spark plug hole cavity area..
