Supercharger belt noise
IMHO MB's cars are way too sophisticated for the dealer service dept's and/or their support and training for the dealers is inadequate.
P.S. - Taking my MB in for service is getting more like a trip to a domestic dealer in the 70's. "They all do that" "We can't find anything wrong" "MB says this is normal"

If you consider what that little bit of belt squeal is engaging and what it can lead to,you'd realize that a little noise is minor.I like it.If you want a completely silent car,go buy a Lexus or a Caddy.

How many miles do you have on your 2003 CL55, S55 or SL55 and does your SC belt slip on engagement? I assume, of course, that you do own one of these stunning automobiles. So far, after 8000 miles since late March, it is the only abnormal condition in a superbly engineered car, and as I have said in my posts on the subject. I am concerned that a misaligned pully may cause belt failure as some point, not that the noise itself is a problem. Additionally, perhaps you should consider your choice of words when you have something to say on this forum.

Also, if I heard no noise when new I would also expect there be no noise at 8500 miles. Something is awry is causing it and could leave you on the side of the road...which only happens at the worst possible moment....
I would make it a point to have service bring the car back to its original no noise at 1750 engagement of the SC.
JMO YMMV
