It an old thread but Chris never ceases to amaze me. In the market for something new from my W211 and was thinking I would go W219 CLS - yout thread just changed my mind. Sheer genius.

I'm rather late to this party but very impressive Chris!
You've given me a ton of inspiration, more so than I know what to do with.
Right now I don't have the guts to do anything to my CL but I sure am hoping I'll be able to leech some know-how from you experienced MB owners!

Chris, you had to disassemble head lights and fog lights to replace LED strips? Or it's just camera auto white balance effect?
Could you be so kind as to post the name of LEDs you have used, xenon bulbs, and those that are in mirror caps.
Original LEDs has yellow-green shade and I am looking to upgrade mine, from 5k to 7k.

DRL looks completely different. So it seems camera changed its white balance. The first photo is more realistic with yellow-green shade. Do you think it's possible to solder new LEDs and don't lose factory look?

First photo is a phone and second is a proffesional camera. I Think it looked more like the second photo. It was not that yellow in real Life.
