Extended warranty for 2006 cl55
Hi everyone. I'm back in the market for a cl, looking into couple very low mileage cars under 20k miles 2006 cl55's. I previously owned an 04 cl500 and 2004 s600 and I know the importance of the warranty on these things.
Do you know if I can purchase an extended warranty for the cl55 amg if I buy the car from a private owner?
What is the best proven aftermarket warranty for these cars? Thank you

when i got my 03 at 62,xxx miles. bought from a private dealer, called a few different companies. one of which the guy who runs it or owns it is on here (Bruce i think is first name). all i needed was to prove i got a PPI within a X amount of days after buying and thats it.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to look him up. What type of coverage did you get, how was your experience with it. the warranty on s600 cost over 6000 but paid off in one visit, but it was purchased thru the dealer.

I HIGHLY recommend buying an extended warranty with any ABC equipped vehicle. Just make sure the warranty actually covers the ABC pump, lines, control block, and struts.

I dont know much about aftermarket warranties but I assume the best warranty is the cpo warranty. I have an 06 cl55 currently for sale and it has a fully transferable cpo warranty. you may be able to extend the cpo warranty if you get one that has it. not sure there is many out there with it tho. anyways, hers a link to mine if your interested. its got 92k on it but it has cpo warranty

The CPO was at one time the best but I've read even MB no longer covers ABC under the CPO warranty. Can anyone else confirm?

This is confusing...........I contacted MBUsa pertaining to my CPO warranty, I was told that my CPO warranty that expires in 2015 does cover the ABC system. I inquired about extending the current warranty past 2015 and was told that I couldn't as I already have the maximum allowable warranty offered(2 years). I don't know.

I have had almost my entire ABC system replaced for free under the CPO warranty. the work was done thanksgiving weekend just a few months ago.
