Angry 323 Motorsports sold me wheels that don't fit, now out of business

Ordered a set of Euromag 2's for my CL65 a couple months ago. I had to pay an extra $100 shipping to get them to Alaska. Busy couple months with lots of traveling and totally blew it by not test fitting them before having my tires mounted up. Tried them out today and the rears are not even close to clearing the calipers. I'll have to add spacers to clear the brakes so thick that the rear tires will be out past the fenders. Tried contacting them today and Brian who sold me the rims said he was 323 Motorsports at first, then said he doesn't work for them anymore when I told him about the problem. Called the "shop #" he gave me which is also listed in his posts and it is no longer in service. Their website and Facebook page are gone as well. Guess I have some really expensive paperweights.

What offsets did you get front and rear?

That sucks, what are the specs on the wheels? Maybe you can sell them to someone else who has a car that will fit the wheels. TC

Wheels are 19x9.5 with a 48mm offset & 19x8.5 with a 32mm offset.

My current wheels are 38 & 32 offset and the rears stick out a little too much for my taste and rub occasionally. Not sure if the rears would fit a CL500-63 or not since I don't have one around to try them on. The offset is perfect to match the body IMO, they don't have the tucked in look of stock wheels.

The front wheels fit on front & rear fine though.

Anyone have spacers they want to sell? I wish I could find some to test fit and figure out exactly how much I need to get these to clear. I'm thinking about 12mm.

Cl65 are tricky offsets, try to get as close to oem for best fitment

Thanks Shardul, I already started searching e-bay & Amazon and am thinking spacers are the answer even though I really would rather get wheels that fit right inb the first place.

AndreNY have you put Euromag 2's on a W215 - 65? It was looking more like 12mm was the minumum I would need but it is really hard to tell for certain without actually test fitting a set.

I understand but there are not many 60mm offset wheels to choose from though and the stock wheels really tuck the tire in more than I like. I have 38's now that came on the car when I bought it and they stick out a little too far. I thought the 48's would be perfect and if they cleared the calipers I think they would look just right. I may pull off a caliper and bolt a wheel on just to see anyway.

im not sure how it is in Alaska but down here you can to a Parts/Wheel store and buy universal Spacers I would get a 10 12 15 and 20 mm, they cost like $5 each and go from there

Dr Matt:

Is it not clearing the caliper itself or the heat shield around the brake? I know that the heat shield can be removed.

Andre, Yeah, not quite like that in Alaska, LOL. Only shop that might have spacers probably charges more for one than a whole set from e-bay.

TMC M5, the back of the wheel spoke hits the outside face of the caliper. Spacers will solve that but I bought this offset specifically because I thought it would be perfect.

for the rear the lip for the hub is very small so you will need hub centric spacers.

Defiantely. I have never run spacers on wheels in my life, but no way I'd consider running any that are not hubcentric. I found some universal 5/6" spacers at Autozone and will try bolting them on strictly to get a measurement and determine if a 10mm will be enough or if I have to go 12 or 15mm. Autozone said I can return them if they don't work and are in good shape so......

I have aftermarket rims on my Superduty that are stud-centric and it is a pain to get those on centered well enough to keep them from shaking the whole truck.

Those will fit great. And this is coming from a guy that runs 10.5's with 305's on the back of my CL65 and its lowered and no rubbing... You still have some room to run a spacer and still fit without rubbing.

When the new owner picks up my car in a couple of weeks, I'll post the money fitment for a CL65 that requires no spacers.

so is this because they sold him the cl55 rear offset vs 65? I know its different but does anyone one know why? What pushes the rear wheels out on the cl65 vs cl55 or even 500/600

Its not the offset. He's having caliper clearance in the rear. The wheel hits the caliper and that's why he needs a spacer.

The link to the hubcentric spacer from ebay may/probably will not work. It did not work on my CL. The hub was longer than than the hub recess in the spacer. You may need to have the wheels bored and use a custom hubcentric spacer. The new hubcentric spacer will fit all the way on the hub and the outer ring will fit into the bored new wheel. Either that, or sell to someone with a CL500. You will need a hub that only sticks out around 10 to 15 mm for the ebay one to work. Contact the seller and see how much of a recess that their spacer has for the hub.

Ya they messed me around as well, I ordered wheels for my 05 CL500 the wheels fit fine but the black lug nuts I paid for were not in the box and then when I did manage to get a hold of Paul as Brian no longer works there and disappeared they sent old banged up lug nuts spray painted black ! they got here all chipped and the paint falling off and not Paul has disappeared as well. At least I paid for the wheels by paypal and if there are any issues in the future I assume I can contact ground force direct with my receipt an get warranty if needed !

They should take responsibility for selling you the wrong offset wheel. If you claim to be a professional company, act like it. On the other hand you should have also done your homework and found out what fits and what doesn't.. because what someone recommends is not always something you may want. Not defending Brian, but I purchased wheels from him twice.. had no issues and he gave me the best price. Like others have stated, if you have the room to not rub on the fender edge slap on a spacer large enough that will give you caliper clearance. good luck

I can bolt the wheels on with the 15mm spacers I bought, but they stick out past the fender and look like crap IMO. I bought this offset because myexisting 38mm offset wheels stick out too far so adding 15mm to the 48's make them 33's. Anyway, they would work fine on CL 500's-600's without the big CL65 brakes.
