1/4 mile runs in the CL65 today....

Anyway, the car ran 11.67, 11.51, and 11.58. The first run was slower from high air temps. The third isn't a 11.4 because I choked.
Hopefully with a tune the car will run some 11.0's. I was in the right lane on all the slips.

Lesson Learned. This won't happen again.
It looks like my first trip to the track is going to be on street tires, but with a couple mods already traction is going to be a challenge. We're you stalling it up on the launch or leaving off of idle?

- Run 1, idle lauch with 19 psi in the rear tires
- Run 2, around 1,100 launch and 18 psi in the rear tires
- Run 3, around 1,100 launch and 18 psi in the rear tires
I just confirmed the DA for the 11.51 run was 531'. Really no point in checking the others.

As a CL65 isn't going to do wheelies on 10.5 street tires, I suspect adding some weigh at the very rear (such as weights under the rear bumper cover) while any possible weight lightening forward (few options there) would increase 0-60 and quarter mile time with enhanced traction at launch. Since the car can not possibly use all its torque at launch, it is possible putting some weigh all the way back could allow faster launching, with plenty of torque and HP down the track.
Where a CL65 proves its stuff is in 1 kilometer straight line racing Russia style. However, the value of CL65s is realized when already rolling such in passing, freeway merging and sliding into small openings in the fast lane from the slow lane.

Oh, and congrats on your consistency between the 3 runs.

As for the color, that's why I buy light colored cars. I can't imagine owning a black CL. Way too much work to keep clean for me. My wife just had to have a black VW CC, and I've not seen it look really clean but maybe 5 times in the past 6 months. Every imperfection is cleary visible.

I've been lazy and I've still not gotten around to installing the ZT2, boost sensor, or wideband.
Max boost was 32.2, but I suppose that was without any deduction for atmospheric pressure. That seems low to me.

The 32.2 is without a deduction for atmospheric pressure, as stated. That's why I said it seemed low.
32.2 - 14.7 = 17.5 PSI
This couldn't be accurate., as it wouldn't trap 120 with only 17.5psi. I'll be installing all the datalogging bells and whistles soon to accurately datalog the beast. I just haven't gotten around to it.

Thanks. Yes, 89K for a few another week or so and I'll be at 90K. I'm sure the DA wasn't doing you any favors though when you ran. I've heard occasionally a 1K DA happens in Vegas, but it's few and far between.
