Dyno'd the CL65 today - post tune

I dyno'd the car today on the same DynoDynamics dyno that I ran a baseline on a month ago.

Stock the car hit 509HP / 655TQ, and it was 85-90F in the shop. The HP number is from the first pull, and the TQ number was from the second. The TQ didn't register on the first run. The car dropped 10HP from pull 1 to pull 2, so my guess is the 655TQ would have been 665.

Today it hit 558HP / 720TQ, temp was around 70F.

Gains were 49HP and 65TQ. Air/Fuel was mid 10's across the board. Is that increase in line with what others are seeing for ECU/TCU only

Mine made 574/684 with ECU/TCU, K&N filters, muffler delete, 109 in the tank, & 71* in the shop. My 614/722 was with the CAI. My tune was way fat though. Your #'s sound really good to me, especially if that is on pump gas.

The numbers are a little bittersweet considering my trap speeds.

I think I'll start piecing together your pro bono CAI tonight. That should help lean out my 10.5 AF.

Just a real pita to find parts in Canada so thinking I'll wait for a good list or just try and make one out of pvc and then I will know what I need and order ss tubing..

I am in the process of making a CAI setup myself, and will share what works and doesn't work for me. I do know the turbos are a 2.25" diameter for a nice snug fit. Fitting a 2.25 to 4" reducer only fits with a lot of ovaling on the 4" end. I hope to use 3.5" tubing for the final product for a better turning radius. No matter what it is choked going through the stock openings on the radiator. Filter placement in front of the grille requires trimming the grille and bumper support in order to close the hood. As far as your dyno numbers, they are very puzzling. Peak numbers are showing you should have a higher trap, but it would be a cool to overlay you curve over others. I realize I have a lot of vague answers but I hope to have some of my own data very soon to be a contributor.

You're preaching to the choir on that one.

Assuming everything goes as planned tomorrow, I will have some new graphs, with a CAI setup. My old dyno numbers, with a tune, in 88 degrees resulted in 562 whp no tq reading. I'm sure that helps. LOL

Sweet! Good luck. It will be nice to see Matt's CAI results replicated. Hopefully you'll be seeing over 600 WHP and 750 TQ.

Just bought all the items.. Ebay was gonna be about $120 for me with shipping (Canada) but found most the items on amazon.ca and total cost for me is about $70.. Not bad.. Looks like a couple items were on backorder but should have them in a month or 2.. Will hopefully figure out a SS piping setup once I figure out what I need (but the 3" heater hose should give me an idea)..

Thanks guys and I will post up my dyno results once it gets done.. Have a tune and downpipes and will have the CAI by the time I dyno.. Really getting hurt by the elevation in Calgary though (3400 ft above sea level).. We will see though.. Good luck to all you guys..
