Cabin temperature sensor issue
Not had my 2005 cl55 amg very long and not knowing any better i never checked the climate control anywhere higher than the lo position it was in
Sure enough on 54 or higher it blew hot, oh dear.
From what I see it is most likely the cabin temp sensor in the overhead dome light console( i have nr01 at 0.0).
Now somewhere else I read there was three possible part numbers and one of these was an upgraded more reliable unit so makes sense to me that I should go for that one.
But can somebody tell me what the part number is for the upgraded unit?
please...lol.
Also something else VERY STRANGE, I also read that it may be dirty and to try blowing over the sensor with computer air cleaner or similar, so I did.
Now it does not start blowing hot until set at approx 62(nr01 still reads 0.00)
So have a semblance of some variation from LO through to 61
Anybody heard that before!

Keep searching these forums. Somewhere a few years ago someone showed how to replace the actual thermistor (relatively inexpensively) to cure this issue.

Yup,
Thermistor..
There is two however, the easiest and most likely one is in the sunroof light switch console..
In my case, I bought another one off Ebay but it was the wrong year.. and also the one I bought also had a cracked thermistor wire..

yea, I found and digested your saga thoroughly...lol
I have already taken it out and looked it over and got part number
bought one off ebay same part number from low mileage wrecked Merc, hopefully it will be good
if it is I will look at repairing the old one at my leisure, if it is not good I will look at repairing the old one at my leisure...lol
Living in Florida has its advantages, namely leaving ac on LO is a 90% event here anyway!
Thanks for all the help!

Bonus I found another one on eBay for $20 free shipping![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
So bought that as a spare and yes it works too, got it down to 10 minutes swap, and that includes cig break...haha

Your issue is a different sensor (The ETR Sensor) I believe,
