2005 Mercedes CL65
V12 Renntech Carbon Fiber Air Filter For Sale

It is a used Renntech Carbon Fiber Air Filter for sale. $1500.
Fits V12 Bi-Turbo CL, SL and S class 2003-2011 Mercedes.
Renntech website has accurate MY and Class fitments.
I have Speedriven Intercoolers installed together with upgraded turbos, downpipes and tune on my 2005 CL65, therefore the air intake also had to be replaced.
No visible scratches.

Query, I have a 2003 CL600 and looking for tuning

dear sir, Why did you go from renntech to Speedriven? I am asking on the forums, as I am looking to upgrade the engine with either a 650hp renntech kit of 690hp Speedriven kit. What was your experience please and rationale?

I do not think there is any major difference between two intakes.
Here is my experience regarding upgrades based on my research and driving few of those cars:

1. The tune from Speedriven or Renntech (both similar) would give you most initial HP increase for a reasonable price.
2. If you decide to take next step to replace intercoolers for bigger ones, you will not be able to keep Renntech Intake ( I have Speedriven Intercoolers and intakes).
3. One more inexpensive upgrade- downpipes.

The combination of 3 yielded 636 RWHP (high 700's crank HP) on regular fuel.
My next upgrades were bigger wheels (body work required) and upgraded factory turbos. Cannot report on the results yet. Car still at Speedriven.

Hope it helps.

speedriven intercoolerupgrade install issues

Does anybody know what happens, or what one does, to all the sensors that attach to the air pipe body between the two intercoolers when you upgrade the intercoolers? What do they do? I brought Speedriven intercoolers for my 2003 CL600 and we don't know what to do with the superfluous sensors. Any advice on what it means removing these sensors would be much appreciated.
Also after test fitting, the starboard side intake pipe from the intercooler rubs against the small black reservoir. How did we get around this?

Sorry wrong thread, answer belongs to if 800 Crank HP is possible with stock turbos from Tuner SD SL65. I wrote it many times here on MBWorld it is a misunderstanding between rwhp and crank hp. You can read it in detail in my older threads. 630-640 rwhp on a Dynojet is far away from 800 real crank hp. The stock Turbos are maxed out a lot earlier and they can not even h old this in the highest rev range. 800 real crank HP can not be achieved with stock turbos.
