2005 CL65 For Sale in Northern CA

This place is selling an 05 CL65. They sell repairable vehicles for the most part but occasionally sell nice cars they come across. I'm a BMW guy so I'm not interested.

Nice. So E9, are you a 2005 CL MB owner, a poser, or is this your car you are trying to sell?

Wow, sounds like you're just looking for an argument. Didn't leave me with any good choices there did you?

I work at this place. Its not something we usually deal with and we don't have anyone here that's a "Mercedes" guy. I thought this forum would appreciate a post for one of these cars being sold since they seem to be pretty rare but the first response I get is a snooty "why are you here" comment. I'm going to assume this is not typical for Mercedes owners but its not a great start.

Have the post deleted if it bothers you so much.

Yes, it was the fuse for the ignition switch circuit. We put a slightly larger fuse (10a) in to test it (based on internet searches) and it worked. While tracking down all the components on the circuit to look for a current draw it started working again fine with the original 7.5a fuse. Weird, but we figured since the car had sat for a year maybe there was a little resistance on a connector? Anyway, they've put about 300 miles on the car since with no issues.

I'm impressed with the car, the power and coach works but I'm not used to the low end torque and low red line. Everything I've owned is kinda the opposite.

Edit: case of mistaken identity. Apologies to those concerned. Post unchanged for the record.
So how did this car go from being sold at insurance auction with a salvage title to being now listed as "clean title" by seller on the autogator site?
And what was the extent of the collision damage that caused it to be 'totaled'?

This forum has got to be THE WORST for members having a stick up their ***! I come here with good intentions, thinking that this member base might like to know when one of these cars is up for sale and all I've gotten is petty comments. The link you're showing isn't even the same car. Wrong VIN. Think about it, what if you were trying to sell your own car and people on this forum acted like you're acting? Grow up. The owner of the company I work for bought this CL from a private party that happened to ask his friend if he anyone interested in the car.

The car we SOLD is VIN WDBPJ79J15A046582. If you knew better you'd know that auction sites and sites that feed off of auction sites grab your google key words and send you to their page, then they say somewhere on the page that year search wasn't found but here's like it!

Sorry to those think this thread got out of hand and is wasting your time. If I'd known it was going to go like this I would've never stopped by.

Car is sold and on its way to the Middle East. You win, I won't be back...

Sorry, my mistake. Yes, the google results link was very deceptive. That and the close similarity of the vin and black color tripped me up. Glad you found a buyer.
