2012 AMG CL65
This was Wed afternoon.
I have several friends in the area that check on it from time to time. Car spent a lot of time just sitting there. But once they started they been hammering away at it. Marcin has even been going in on days off. It absolutely must be back be Wed next week though. If its not here there will be hell to pay and I will have the car picked up in pieces if need be.
Now they gave me a good deal on the whole package and did some extra stuff for me and helped me out with a replacement trans for my E55 as well as reimbursed me for one event that was missed due to the deadline.
Jo and Marcin have been great. I have wanted to yell at them many times but they are good people and i understand the issues being the first one and all.

Yes. But the trans computer is not playing nice so untill they figure it out the car cant be dyno ran. So it looks like I am missing the last big Texas even this year that I already dropped a couple grand on. Guess I will just have to take the ol Cobra.

Not to be that guy, but I said that back in April. They've had 6 months to prepare for this because they knew without a doubt it was gonna be a problem. How did they explain that to you?

Car was completed (so I was told) on Wed and supposed to go to the dyno today for final testing. As far as I know they have all the software installed and all the parts installed so I am awaiting confirmation from Marcin as to when the car will be sent back to me.

I'm sure you will report back when you receive the car and let us know how it performs. Do an independent dyno and shake down at the track. I hope it meets your expectations.

I wish. Trying to get them to answer a call is like pulling teeth.
EDIT: I take that back. I have had a tooth pulled once and it was much cheaper, faster and painless.

Geeze honestly I know speedriven has fans but just from what you are going through it would make someone think twice before contracting them to do work.

That stinks. Glad you are being open and honest about your experience. At what point do you pull the car and take it to someone else?

Hopefully you were able to get a reply and find out what carrier has your car on it and that it will be delivered tomorrow or Tuesday? As they have plenty of time posting on the e55 forums. Did they let you know if it was wrapped up and sent out?

They have. Its ment little but they have. I usually get a call back after a couple dozen messages. I left them messages today informing them that I will be up there with my lawyer on Thursday if I do not hear back from them. We will be retrieving the car. This whole experience has left just a bad taste in my mouth and its runied my love for my dream car which after dropping 6 figures really pisses me off.
Here is the thing though, and probably stupid on my part, but if they would just get their **** together and send my my damn car back I am still willing to send it back to them next year for the engine build and stand alone ECU as I would like that 1500hp number.
Car was supposed to be on the dyno and completed last week Tuesday so that means the car SHOULD be in my posession today but nobody seems to return a damn call.

Way back in your thread I was really just being funny on how slow and terrible my experience, and others have been with them. But this is just plain sad and beyond any acceptable business practice or morals. Go get your car man and move on.... And I mean that in the most sincere way possible. They won't be able to deliver what they've promised you.... Sad but true...
Also it's funny how they have plenty of time to be posting in the w211-amg forum as we speak just to welcome someone back to the community, there a total joke.

For the amount of money you are spending, you should contact Underground Racing or AMS Performance and see if they will do a one off build with the potential to sell more kits. They would have lots of customers given their track records. Pun intended.
It's unfortunate you are going through this but many saw it coming and suspected they would not meet the schedule. That's why I made the comment to put a timeline in the work order so you have some firm legal footing. As is without a firm work order and with everything including a timeline clearly spelled out, if you withhold payment, they may be able to put a mechanics lien on your car and go after you if you don't pay.
