The green flashing button is an emergency inside trunk release switch. Doesn't do anything when the trunk is already open.

The trunk closes by means of a hydraulic cylinder and pump. The hydraulic pump is controlled through the PSE (vacuum) pump circuitry. Are there any other systems that the vacuum pump operates that are also malfunctioning, for example door locks, seat lumbar support, etc?

You might try resetting the PSE pump controller by temporarily pulling fuse F62 for a minute or so and then reinserting it.

It's behind a cover below the front of the right-rear seat. This fuse would not be bad if all the other functions are still working. However removing it forces the controller in the vacuum pump to reset and clear any error state it may have set itself to.

It is the yellow 20A fuse, 5th one in from the right side, (or 6th if you count the missing one where there is a space).

I tried pulling the 20 A fuse but I reinserted it after like 20 seconds should retry it again? or is there another problem with the trunk?

That was really the only easy DIY fix. If it's still not working the problem is deeper. You're going to need a specialist to diagnose it in person.
