Hydraulic fluid on left rear wheel.

So I was driving along and messing with the ABC and a message came up in red “ABC drive careful”. I get home and try to lift the car and nothing happens. Get out and start to walk out of the garage and I see a trail of some fluid. Look under the car and fluid is all over the wheel on the inside of the rim. I haven’t gotten under the car yet to look so I don’t know where it’s coming from. Where can I find a drawing that shows me the hoses, accumulators, and valves? I can get in there and do the work but I need to know what parts and numbers I need to order the parts.

Thanks slonar21. I’ve seen that but it doesn’t give the hoses or part numbers on it. Is there anything out there like a drawing that shows part numbers? I work on aircraft and we have a maintenance manual that breaks down the drawings and gives a part number for each individual part. Is there something like that out there to download?

ABC hoses are in the steering section if I recall, anyways if you dig you will find what you are looking for, but ABC hoses aren't in the suspensions category as I recall

It could be a leak from the strut as well...

Slonar21 that is what I’m looking for! Thank you very much! I have been looking for 3-4 days now and I thought I would ask for help. I’ll get under the car tomorrow and see what is leaking since I’ll be out changing the oil in my motorcycle tomorrow. Thanks again!

In my searches for information on the hoses and part numbers I found a very good explanation of the hydraulic suspension.

So I finally got the car jacked up and found that it’s a line from the front to the valve in the back. The car hasn’t sagged one bit so I know the valve to the struts is good. Ordered the line from FCPEuro and it’ll get here in a week. I’ll be on vacation next week so no big deal on when it gets here. I am ready to be driving it again though.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to break the hydraulic lines loose? The one on the back valve broke loose pretty easily, but the ones at the front won’t budge. I’ve sprayed some penetrating oil on it and it just won’t budge on either one. I’ve got the correct wrenches for it and I’m still worried that I’ll strip them or bend one of the other lines before they break loose.

Finally got the lines to break loose this week. A lot of heat and still a lot of muscle and it finally broke loose! I had also changed out the front and rear main accumulators and the return side. The rear and return accumulators were full of fluid. Probably the reason the hose blew out. Figured out how to get the pump primed and finally got her on the road again. It’s not as floaty as it was when I got it. Big difference!
