I emailed him about my CL and his response is below.

Your question is whether the wheels will fit the CL. It does in fact fit the CL just fine. The tire size however, needs to be slightly wider and taller, at 245/40/19. It'll also be $25 more per tire to do this. thanks,

IMO, I have and would say pass on the Velocity wheels on ebay. I meet the distributer here in California in April. Wheels look good but they are replicas and I am not sold on the quality. As for tires, his prices are high due to him ordering them from Tirerack and adding money to that for his profit. push me

I can get you the CL65 wheels, and yes, they do fit a CL500. Email me if you would like more info. There not cheap but they are cheaper then a nice set of HRE's.

Even though the CL65 gunmetal OEM 19" Type IV wheels will fit an SL. I don't know how they will look as opposed to the actual SL65 same AMG wheels. The offsets are different (don't recall exact mms), but I did see that the CL55/65 REAR wheels /tires are classically narrower than SL55/65s. ~0.5" for the wheels alone.

For the SL65, OEM AMG Type IV wheels are 19"x8.5" fr with P255/35ZR19 and 19"x10" rr with P285/30ZR19, respectively.

In the CL65, they are 19"x8.5" fr P245/40ZR19 and 19"x9.5"rr with P275/35ZR19.

I'm gravitating towards the 19" AMG Type IV upgrade for my SL55.

The Tire Rack sells the original AMG CL65 wheels. In that gunmetal. I believe in a staggered 19" they are about $1100 a wheel. www.tirerack.com
