2003 CL600
V12 Biturbo

Would it be poser-ish to put this on a CL600? it does have a V12 and it does have 2 turbos.

No, it would only be posing if you badged it SL65 ///AMG. What you're talking about doing is no different than other people throwing the V8 badge on their 430's

I put a KOMPRESSOR badge on my fenders (without the V6 or V8, it's an I4). You're just badging your engine truthfully, nothing wrong with that.

On a related note, there's a W211 E320 parked in my neighborhood that's been badged as "E32 ///AMG". The only thing that makes it AMG, afaict, is AMG wheels. It doesn't even have an AMG bodykit. I seriously doubt the engine's been modified, otherwise it wouldn't still have stock exhaust. And obviously there's a little problem of there not ever having been such a thing as an E32 ///AMG.

I know for the 2003 and up the CL600s definitely do not have the bi-turbo logo. I believe that this is true with the SL600s as well. By the way, someone during track day at Catipal Raceway Nov 4th took pictures of the cars. It was a great day and you’ll see my CL600 about midway down with a picture of the V12 logo. This was the first time that I went to the drag strip and I have to admit it was great. My first and best run was 11.79 at 122.19. ESP was on and it was left in sport mode. Given that I have the standard set of non staggered 600 wheels and tires, I was quite pleased with the results. I am now looking at the RennTech airbox that you brought to my attention in one of your post as well as some new staggered wheels and tires… So where could I get the bi-turbo logo?

Here are the links to the pics

Excellent times!

Especially considering it rivals that of the Murcielago and the almighty 65s-- way to represent for us 600 owners!

You have a Renntech ECU, right? That is an incredible number for a car with those tires... incredible... no one else would look at your car and think it can outrun a viper. what a sleeper.

Cl600

ok guys. I just took delivery of an 03' CL600 with 21000 miles on it. Paid $70k black on black. I will post pics soon. But now its modding time. What do you suggest and is there any other place to get a chip? $6400 from renn is a liil steep for a program, no?

You're only a poser is you're trying to pose as something you aren't. You have a V12 Biturbo, wear that badge proudly!!! You need to address MB's shortcomings, I did!

When did you get those little "renntech" badges? are they still available?

Yes , its steep, but it works... Look at the proven track times these guys are running. And its safer than someone else's. You can check with Kleemann, they are the only other one I would trust. You don't want to ruin your engine already. Congrats on the car.

They came with the big trunk badge, they're supposed to go under the hood, somewhere on the motor, but I thought that they would look neat on the outside of the car.
