pick up 2003 CL55amg with few issues. Distronic light is on, ABC light comes on and off when going over bump, and rear trunk does not stay up. Car has 116K miles.

I had wait for another 5l of CHF11S fluid to be delivered from ebay. Total of 10L replaced with new filter. Will do another partial CHF11S flush after 2K miles with new filter. Original fluid was pretty dark and dirty, Fluid looks clean now ...

Hi John, looks like your on the right path on getting her back in order. I’m also in Las Vegas. Welcome to the 55 family. There’s quite a few modded AMGs in town. We’re having a dyno day with RaceIQ/Anthony Lawshee November 3rd if you’d like to come and hang out with us. You’re more than welcome to.we do have room for one more car for dyno tuning if you’re interested. Here’s the link for that thread:

Also there’s going to be a Vegas MBZ(Facebook Group) meet at Silver Arrow Motors on November 2nd from 6pm-9pm during SEMA week. They’re on 4350 Arville Las Vegas, Nv 89103. Should be a great turn out.

Hey John, did you find a good independent shop here in Vegas, or do the work yourself? I have not found a good shop yet for my car, and I'd like to stay away from the dealer

I found carlos on Craiglist, the deal was I get to see the work while he was working on it so I could do it next time. The parts are from ebay and pretty straight forward. What do you need to worked on? I have 5 cars and 2 are heavily modified. most work was DIY. He did not called me when he was doing the fluids which was bummer.

Awesome the dynojet were using is at Insane Power in Henderson. We’ll be there from 10am to until we’re finished. Here’s the address for the dyno:

I need to change the belt, spark plugs and pulleys. I’ve been looking into do it myself, but I’m not sure. I also want to do some exhaust mods but I was quoted $210 for muffler delete yesterday. To me that’s a bit overpriced. Thank you for the info.

muffler delete as in straight pipe?
Plugs, pulleys, belts. which pulley?
sounds like a whole day job.

I meant the resonator delete with two straight pipes. The muffler shop on Sahara and Rainbow quoted me $210 plus tax. I think it’s too much like everything else here in Vegas. I already did the spark plugs and the belt and pulleys myself.

unscrewed rear differential filler bolt and found the differential oil to be very clean and new, did not had to change the fluid at this time. planning on inspect the motor mounts in few days and replace it if its bad. The spark plug wires were brittle to the touch and it will be replaced in few month and will check the plugs at same time and replace it if need it.
