Guy,
How easy do you think it will be able to sell my CLA45 if I decide to go with the c63? Is it better to trade or sell private. Not too much experience here so any help would be appreciated

All depends on how much you still owe on the 45 and whether or not you're wanting to get every dime for it. My recommendation is return it to stock and trade it in. Dealership tend to give you a slightly better deal when you are trading in. Also, I believe you get a brake on paying sales tax with a trade in. I don't like random peeps showing up at my house, and half usually just want to joy ride with no intent to buy. Less hassle trading and you can move on faster if that's where your heart is at.

Agree with soolman. Not sure how your sales tax works but in Ontario your trade in is deducted from the sales price of the new vehicle, reducing tax substantially. If you get $50,000 on trade in (as an example) it reduces the amount of tax paid by about $6,500 on the new vehicle.
If you think you could get the difference in a private sale then maybe worth the hassle, but otherwise trade in is simpler and easier.

My dealer offered me 43 for it, the KBB value is 51-52 w my miles on it.

43 is too low try to negotiate with them so they make it 50k.
Believe me they are able to give you 50k depending on how much you'll spend on your new car.

I did the same strategy last year when I was getting my other car and they increased the trade in on my old car by $10k just because I told them I won't buy the car if they don'tOriginally Posted by jamesyot

Because when you order a car from MB, you have right to say I'm not buying even after the car arrives to the dealer. At least its the policy in Canada.just because I told them I won't buy the car if they don't

I got 47 for mine on trade 4 months ago. I tried 4 dealers. Original MSRP was 60 and it had 14000 miles. I don't think you'll get 50. Probably 45-47 tops but it also depends on options. Originally Posted by jamesyot

KBB is way high in my opinion. Said mine was worth 50 on trade. The majority of CLA45's listed on cars.com are priced in the upper 40's to low 50's.

I was one of the OG CLA45 guys, when I ordered my car the NSP was not available, we painted everything black including the wheels. I also left my beautiful CF spoiler on the back Originally Posted by M-type

I'm surprised you were ok with accepting so little for it, unless the $5-8k wasn't worth your time lol.Originally Posted by jamesyot

Two 10mm bolts under rear section, two push plugs at front inner fender well, and six half turn plugs underneath. Then pull away from bottom up and out. Once that's off the center piece is held in by a lot of tabs. Pliers and a screwdriver and patience. Most people just tape off and paint them while on vehicle, but if you're changing them out they gotta come off.Originally Posted by M-type
was it hard to remove the trim to paint? cant seem to find any info on the sides removal.

Well I wanted an edition 1 63, and I really wanted it in white, I wasn't preparing to upgrade so this all happened very very fast. I had to do it to get the exact car I wantedOriginally Posted by tcache
