Driven the new CLAA45S?

Was kinda surprised... I love the CLA45 since 2014...coming from evo's sti's etc... feel its our last pure new AMG sedan (haha 4 banger, who'd have thunk that?)

Anyone owned one yet ( the new S)..

We have one.. Just curious what everyone thinks about it and the higher spoiler? https://www.mbofrichmond.com/invento...j5eb2sn522201/

Very cool that MBUSA is now bringing the S model into the states.

They kind of have to, I heard the regular model was discontinued in Europe https://mbworld.org/forums/cla-45-am...on-2022-a.html so MBUSA's decision would be either discontinue the 45 model altogether and only have the 35 which leaves room for competitors or bring the 45s over.

Back then, there were claims that the gasoline quality is subpar to Europe and the 45s model would not run well in North America https://mbworld.org/forums/cla-45-am...coming-us.html

Guess they sorted that fuel optimization software for the facelift, I mean they kind of have to, unless they want to discontinue the 45 leaving only the 35, which is not enough.

I can't remember which of these threads that provided the source of the "bad gas quality" claim but... one of them has to be it. I just used keyword search on Google and those are the threads that popped up.

Ah, good point. I see the non S CLA 45 is no longer listed on the global AMG site:

Kind of unrelated, but that Project One looks the best imho.

Seems like that bright baby blue is now the colour people are drooling over. And I agree about the touchpad!

That spoiler looks terrible.

I've always liked the CLA, it actually is a similar size to my previous C55 (but without the V8). The one I've always drooled over though was the wagon....now THAT was the best CLA and small wagon ever. Put it in diamond white or grey magno, and WOW. When I was in Belgium a few years ago, I did see a diamond white one parked, and I was over the moon. Unfortunately, not a US car.

The consensus of the video is the price is way too high but they said they prefer this over the CLE 53 despite the inline-6 which is interesting actually.

I was actually very happy to see how much they enjoyed the CLA45... price aside. I can fully understand them enjoying the CLA over the CLE. While the CLE53 is a very nice car in general and more luxurious and has a bigger engine... it drives like a big luxury coupe which is exactly what it is. The CLA45 on the other hand is relatively light, nimble, tossable, loves to be pushed and always gives a fiun driving experience regardless of the speed you're doing!
