Issues with Weistec Customer Service... BE WARNED
I figured I would share my ordeal with Weistec so that everyone else on the forums is aware of the customer service that I've had to deal with for the past two months.
I ordered the stage 2 package for my 2016 CLA 45 AMG in July of 2016. I received the parts and the tune very quickly with good turn-around time. I had the parts installed by Fluid-Motor-Union, a Weistec Dealer that is certified with installing Weistec parts. After putting the parts onto the vehicle, I didn't notice a considerable amount of power gain while driving the vehicle. Convinced that something was wrong, I took the car to AMS/Alpha performance in Chicago to dyno the vehicle and check for issues. The car made 370whp and 380whtq on 93 octane, a considerable difference from what Weistec was advertising with their 400whp and 425+ whtq on 91 octane. THIS is NOT the issue I am posting about. The problems begin here.
After emailing Weistec to tell them about my issues with the tune, they said their calibration dept would take the file and test it on their vehicle to recreate the issues I was experiencing. Fast Forward a month a later and I received no emails. At this point I should have called sooner, but I figured they would have gotten back to me by now. I called and spoke with Zach on the phone and asked for a refund. I was then instructed to send in my ECU back to them (paying for the shipping charges) and then they would return the ecu to stock. After this, I would receive my requested refund. I complied with their directions and sent my ECU back to them. They reflashed the ECU and upon returning the ECU to me, sent it to the wrong address (address was given clearly in an email) This ultimately delayed the process even more because the ECU was shipped back to them and had to be reshipped out. I was without a vehicle for several days. But, Mistakes happen.
Now here is what really made me disappointed with Weistec.
After receiving my ECU back, I was told that in a few business days, the refund would process and I would get my money back.... IT's now been almost 2 months and I'm still waiting for my money. I make it a priority to call them at least once a week asking where my money is and I keep getting the same answer. "Trouble with the accounting department, wait a few business days". Half the time I call and try to get a hold of Zach, they put me on hold for 10 minutes plus, and I end up just hanging up. (one time I stayed on the phone for 25 minutes waiting for Zach to answer)
I just called again tonight and someone transferred me to Zach, but no one ever picked up after waiting another 15 minutes on the phone. At this point I'm giving them a week before I call an attorney. This is getting out of hand and I would like everyone to know ahead of time my issues with their customer service.

I am very sorry to hear about this, can't you just file a dispute with your credit/ debit card company? I have had a similar experience with a coin company and not getting a refund as promised and I got my money back after filing a dispute.

Man I don't like reading this kind of stuff. I just ordered downpipes from them yesterday. Being that it's just a few bits of hardware, I doubt I will have any issues. At least, I hope.
Zach was very great and a pleasure to deal with. We corresponded via E-mail for a week before I finally decided to go with them. Replies were never more than a business day out.

B5 part out , S6 was stage 3 , had some impressive results and no problems at all , replaced the S6 with E63 , my biggest fail ever , replaced b5 with B8 s4 , benz has to go , replaced with hellcat charger to play with

So no build threads on any audi forums? I was huge into Audizine a decade ago and loved me some VAG (hence the 1.8t in my name). At least tell me what turbo's you had on your 2.7t

posting on IG , but no audi's in progress right now , flashed b8 stage 1 that's it

Oh damn! You built it to the max and built it right!
I've always wanted to build 2.7t exactly as you did and either do 770's or a single turbo. Maybe one day...

What did you do to your benz and why didn't it work out?

Well you're in the minority on the B5. Pretty much anyone that goes built motor/GT turbos takes about 8 years for them to finish. Usually they finish all the hardware, get the software about halfway there and then sell the car cause after 8 years their entire life changed and they just buy a Pcar or something.

and I got me a P car as well , lot's of fun .
Benz - hardware failed on me couple times , every time I had to pull the engine out , not a big deal but pricy . every time cores , used cores 3k average , I bought them twice , also I had to build transmission , broke mine at the strip , weistec did a good job . every time I was waiting on parts for month -2 ,
3rd kit was promised to me first week of December , never showed up .
aftermarket for Benz sucks .

BACK ON TOPIC:
Seems I've already run into a snag with Weistec.
So I ordered DP's on Wednesday. Zach gave me the UPS tracking number for them and said he was shipping them out on Thursday, but when I checked it today, it's "invalid". WTF? And I won't even be able to contact them til most likely Tuesday

As i said before, the hardware parts are fine. ( I still have the DP on my car from weistec) It's the tune that was not on par to the other tuning companies. Car ran like **** on the Weistec tune, and just from switching over to Alpha Performance, I gained around 50 wheel torque and like 30whp. Car runs smoother as well.

Zach@Weistec was on it like Blue Bonnet. Informed me that the DPs didn't go out until today (I had informed him that it was no rush since I wasn't installing them for a couple weeks) and that he had just given me the tracking number a bit ahead of schedule.
So I've had nothing but superb customer service from these guys. Even after they got my money
