Armaspeed Carbon Cold Air Intake Install and Review!
Hey guys!
I recently got my Armaspeed cold air intake installed onto my 2020 CLA45 AMG and it has been amazing so far! Below is link to my channel and video that I made on how to install the cold air intake plus a sound review with the new intake.
I also have a quick clip of the sound it produces on my instagram which is right here:

Overall the install takes maybe a max of 40min to an hour. It is very easy install if you have the right torx bits on hand. Based on the video above, in consists of removing the ecu to the side, opening the box, replacing the filter and the hose by undoing some metal clamps and thats it. After those are removed and the new parts are put on, you can put the clamps right back on and its done.
Tip: make sure you dont scoot the hose all the way up as it makes it harder to make it fit right.
The video explains it all!
Design & Looks:
The carbon fiber looks and feels very good, it looks perfect in this smaller engine bay. They do offer a forged carbon version but I personally prefer the regular carbon fiber weave. The finish is gloss and it stands out in the engine bay. The thing I love about this intake is that it comes with a carbon fiber ECU cover which completes the look of the intake. Since the intake box sits below the ECU, having the carbon cover is just perfect and shows how much Armapspeed paid attention to the design and looks of this intake.
Sound & Performance:
Sound wise, it sounds amazing! It improves the turbo noises by tenfold and makes it sound like a much better turboed car in my opinion. With the stock intake and hose, you didnt hear much blow off or turbo spool at all. With this intake you can hear all of it and man does it sound great. It is the perfect addition to this pocket rocket AMG. I had VTA's on my old c63s and it sounded cool but did not suit the car as much as this does.
Performance wise I can feel a pretty good of a difference in grunt. Based on their dyno sheet (Attached below) it has increased performance by about 14.8hp with this intake and you can definitely feel it.
Overall:
For $650 you get better sound, a little hp bump up and a really nice looking carbon engine bay. This modification is 100% worth it. If you have a facelift a45/s cla45/s you definitely need this intake for your build.
