Carlsson C-Tronic for CLA250

Hello CLA members; since the release of the CLA we have had quite a few inquiries for the Power kit for the 250 and AMG 45, at the present time the AMG 45 kit has not yet been officially released, but we are looking forward to the release and we will keep you informed.

In the meantime, I have attached some pictures showing the actual Plug-n-play module for the 250, this kit includes the items as shown and is currently available through any of our authorized dealers.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM

Thank you

Carlsson C-tronic install

Hello Members,

Last week we conducted the install for a local customer for the Carlsson C-tronic power kit for the CLA 250, we did the install and ran the car on the dyno with a before and after.
The customer was extremely pleased with the power increase, and the installation was no problem. The unit connects to the factory ECU and accepts the plugs of the OE harness, there is no wire cutting or splicing needed.
The harness cradle is a bit delicate when snapping it in, I suggest using a small screw driver to help guide the cradle and snap in place.

Attached are some pictures detailing the install. The dyno had some issues during our pull before the install, but we were able to do a run after the install that gave us a reading of 230hp at 4000rpm, the specs according to the Headquarters in Germany was tested and proven to produce 253hp, however we don't have the same octane here as they do in Europe, but the HP is probably off by 3-5hp difference. There was no fault codes or check engine warnings at start up, the modification took about 10min.

The customer noticed right away the increase in power, but after the engine warmed up he said he could feel the car pull even more.

Is this something that can be cleared if need be for warranty work? I've been looking at one of these for a while now just wanting to make sure it's safe and worth it.

The unit is a plug-n-play module, the program is in the unit not the ECU. If you have any concerns when taking your car to the dealer, you can remove it and reinstall it when your done with your service.

When we installed this unit for the CLA 250 there was no wire cutting or splicing necessary, this unit is a two sided harness, one side to connect to the ECU and the other side to connect to the vehicle harness. There were no fault codes or anything to clear once it was installed.

I hope this information is useful. Please feel free to send me a PM or you can email us directly as well.

Regards,
Jim

Looking forward to the 45 version!

I didn't know Carlsson had a local subsidiary in the US, no less Anaheim. Kinda cool.
