2019 A250 US Order delays
Hello,
Ha anyone had any luck in getting their ordered car delivered so far anywhere in the US?
I get conflicting answers from my dealer. I ordered A250 4Matic loaded for my kid and we were told car will be here in January. Now pushed until March, no reason given. Dealer can not see where it will be assembled. Does anyone know? Germany, Mexico, elsewhere?
Another dealer in NJ says cars sitting at port (Baltimore) waiting for emission test clearance. His lot will be here in late January.
I asked Mercedes Benz USA and as usual, they have no clue.
ON MBUSA website it says pricing coming soon since Oct.
Can one call the Mercedes HQ in Germany (Stuttgart)? Kid was really excited after getting her drivers license and now sad...
Regards

Called MBUSA and they said car assembly in Mexico. Don't know the reason for delay. A Cass will be released in Q1 2019 is all they can tell. Frustrating...why is Merc so behind Beemer...I ordered X5 and could trace thru the process...oh well...if anyone finds out please post re the A class delay...Thanks

I'm very confused by the post, the A250 is not a car made for the American market. Our model is the A220 and it is coming out in a few weeks from what I hear.

The hatch is is now available in Canada.

from my understanding they are the same car but the A220 has a toned down 2.0L turbo which I believe is 180hp and the A250 is 2.0L turbo but with 220hp. (From what I’ve seen in the review videos) but I can confirm my A250 is 220HP.

The CLA250 is the only "coupe' the U.S. is getting and it's really a sedan, but that's another discussion. The A-Class coming to the U.S. is the A220 with 188hp. There is no A250 anything in the U.S.

ask the guy that ordered one in the US ... I’m just saying Canada already has the hatch and coupe is coming too.

My understanding is that the A250 and A220 have the same 2.0 Turbocharged engine. It's just the model (A220) for the US has a "de-tuned" version of the engine, hence the lower hp and torque specifications. I am wondering if there will be aftermarket applications that will allow someone to bump up those figures on the US model?
