W176 parking brake assembly mode
Hi! I changed the rear brake disc yesterday and couldnt get out of "assembly mode" and I pressen the brakes and they worked, but I saw somewhere that your not suppose to press the brakes before you disingaged assembly mode.. cN I proceed as usuall or should I do something different now that I already pumped the brakes? Its still in assembly mode ..

I wonder if you need to disengage the parking brakes, and/or doors are open? Closed?

I will go down to car tonight and try again, but I think i tried with the door closer yesterday. But its not going to damage anything because i have pumped the brakes before? Thanks

Ya that is usually what is shown when the brakes are retracted. Does it say something along the lines of condition not met?

yes it says exactly that, and that it cannot exit the mode because conditions are not met..

Hmmm, I mean usually when that happens the solution is make sure the ignition is in the right position, parking brake off, and doors are closed, for example, you turn the key (I forgot if you need to be in position 1 or position 2) for keyless start vehicles, it is usually one press or two press for position two with foot off the brake.
