FS: 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6 **390 Miles**
Hey whats up guys. If anyone is looking for a beginner street bike I have the deal of a lifetime for you! I just listed my Flwless 2003 Yamaha yzf-r6 platinum silver/black combo for sale on ebay. The bike has 390 original miles on it, just back from service and just changed the battery. I paid 8900 nd change 1.3/4 years ago and am just looking to recoop whatever I can. Anways take a look and happy bidding. If any MBworld member is intersted in the bike, I will provide a 10% off the buy it now price.

390 miles?!!!!!!! Wow, Montclair Yamaha (California) would give you $8k for it!!!!
My Husband sold his '03 R6 (same color) at 11,500 miles to Montclair Yamaha for $5k! I'm pretty sure you'll make well over your asking price!!!!!
Beginner's Sport Bike, eh??
LOL!
You must be talking about a Pocket Bike Replica of the R6!

Thats what Im starting to see since I listed it last night on ebay. The response of offers has been overwhelming to say the least so I think I'll just let this one run the 7 days unless someone comes around with a better offer. I mean anyone who buys this bike is pretty much buying a brand new yamaha r6. The bike hasnt even beem broken in yet and was driven like a baby. I never performed any tricks or wheelies so when someone gets on that bike there going to know in the first two minutes how new it is.

Not going against the thread but I'd say that the Honda bikes are great starter bikes. The kawi seems a bit heavy bulky. The Hondas have a great sitting position and weight.

There are two ZX-6s currently marketed here: one is the 636cc version, and the 599cc model is the AMA-spec bike for production based racing.
Both are street legal, but the larger displacement version is the better street bike. Triumph is marketing its' current 600s the same way.
If an R6 (or any current 600) is a "beginner bike", what's an expert-level tool, an RC211V?.
I don't think any 100hp streetbike is a good choice for a new rider.

You're closing in fast on your buy-it-now...
you going to get a different bike or getting out of the two-wheel biz altogether?
