I'm asking $2k for wheels (recently refinished to "like new" condition) and tires (used for approximately 10k miles with significant tread remaining - pics to be provided). Based on my research, the wheels will fit C (W203 & W202), CLK (W209 & W208), SLK (R170 & R171), and E (W210) Classes.

This sale is contingent upon me striking a simultaneous deal with Yellow R1 for his SLK55 wheels. My intention was originally to try and find an SLK55 owner to trade wheels with, but since that hasn't panned out, I figure it might be a better option for me to work out a deal to sell mine and buy Yellow R1's wheels at the same time. Since he's in the Bay Area and I don't have a spare set of wheels, it will require someone from the Bay Area to purchase them and meet up with us at a mutually agreed upon location so we can perform the swap and exchange money at the same time.

price seems a bit on the higher end...

i bought mine on e-bay for 1/2 that price with new OEM tires. I did have to wait a few months until I bought a set, therefore is all about timing.

However, the wheels and tires are well worth it.

As you know the SLK rims and tires are a bit more rare and their price is usually higher than the C55/CLK55 rims.

Like I said, the only reason I'm asking $2k is because that's what Yellow R1 is asking for his SLK55 wheels. If he'll accept less, then so I will I. As much as I appreciate your blog, I don't find it relevant to my sale. Thanks for your well wishes.

I was bidding on some practically brand new C55 wheels/tires on ebay earlier and the final bid was $2378. I thought that was alot. $2000 for yours...used, refinished and with 10K+ miles...is really alot. I offer $1400 shipped. upon viewing closer pics of the refinished wheels and tires!

damn blake! i've been looking for these. if this price includes shipping then i'll take them. since i live in canada i'll likely have to pay customs unless you ship them as "repaired". but yeah, 2k is high...but if you are willing to cover the shipping and these have no scratches and the tires are good, i'll take them. I guess it would all depend on how much it costs to ship wheels to Canada. I have a potential buyer who may arrange local pick up in the Bay Area, so I'll keep you in mind if it doesn't work out.

at least you know you're overcharging for the rims. Good luck with the sale and that 1400 dollar offer seemed real good imo. That's more than I would have offered.

The wheels are in near perfect condition and there is about 50% tread left on the tires. Considering each wheel retails for over $900, I don't honestly think I'm overcharging. Just because others have found wheels for less doesn't mean I have to sell mine that low. If anything, the fact that the wheels in that ebay auction sold for so much has made me feel more confident that I'm asking an extremely fair price. I don't want to pay out of pocket for the other wheels, so I'm charging the same amount the other seller is asking. I have clearly stated my intentions and am working to do all I can to make it a win-win situation for all parties involved.

$2375 may seem a lot, however, authentic AMG twin spoke rims are hard finds. There have only been 2 completed auctions on ebay.com for these type of wheels for at least 6 months. I was actually outbidded in December '05 and the auction closed around +$2300 as well. A current action is going on for scuffed up rims, lots of curb rash (you'll have to see the pics). Seller wants $1495 with a buy it now for $1895!
I never met Blake, but from his postings going back who know when....without a doubt he has babied his car. If all ebay bidders for C55 rims knew about this forum, these rims would probably be gone by now.

I truly appreciate this response. My car is certainly babied - my wife would probably argue that it gets better treatment than she does, but that's besides the point. Maybe I should put the wheels on ebay and take my chances. I'd be willing to bet they'll go for more than what everyone is trying to convince me that the price SHOULD be.

Here's my offer............$1600 shipped to St. Louis, MO. That's what I'm getting for my Fikse FM10's($900 ea. new) with out tires shipped to IN. Much more than that and I can get a set of 19" Bremmas.

I appreciate your offer, but Bremmas are fake AMG's...there's no comparison. You ever heard of someone buying a diamond for less than a cubic zirconia? Me neither.

Offering less than the asking price is one thing, but add insult to injury by asking me to pay the couple hundred for shipping is just ridiculous.
