Hey,

I have a 2003 C320 - I was told that my car isn't pre-wired or something to fit navigation (Command Sys). Mercedes said for the C-Class they had to be installed at the factory; is this true and is there anything I can do to put it in? If so, I'm very interested in buying it.

Thanks.

the comand is very easy to install in place of the stock radio. all the plugs arre the same except the c connector, which you have to modify a bit

I currently have the factory Bose "upgraded" system with glovebox changer and tape behind LCD face, will your unit pretty much drop in with only the modification you mentioned above? How much are DVD's for my region?

Thanks!

yes, it will drop right in, and it uses comand cds, which are about $30 a piece.

Modify a bit? What does this entail?

I'm probably going to have a Audio store/installation center do it for me. Can you get a quote for shipping to New York - I know you're close by (Boston); My Zip code is 10805.

Is payment via PayPal?

Thanks.

Tee_Tz.
shipping to 10805 is about $19.46 with priority mail.

your radio had an A, B, and C connector on the back. the a and b connector will plug right in, but you have to cut off your c connector (only 5 wires) and put those wires into the C1 and C2 connector on the comand. (i will provide a wiring diagram)

yes, i accept paypal

Do you have the part# for the command? I was wondering if this unit is for C/CLK because the command for G-Class may not be accurate when we install it on a C-Class ... PM you something ...

I am interested. E-mail me at m.grenat@insightbb.com. Some pics of wear spots/age would be helpful. Can you use nav DvDs on this system or just CDs? Regardless are those easy to get?
