I prefer Local pick-up, but I will ship if buyer pays actual shipping cost.

While you are entitled to your opinion, please show me where you can get just the rims for $1,500. That is, if you can even find them used anywhere. I know they are worth more as I looked for months before even locating these. They are very difficult to find and this auction includes the tires.Originally Posted by CQHall

Just thought I'd let the forum know. No one is forcing anyone buy them, I'm just letting anyone that may be interested know. As info, my cost with tires and installation was $2,300, so I'm not looking to profit, just basically break even.Originally Posted by mj50

OH YES, I CAN BE WITNESS TO THAT.
just for your info PARISV my AMG 18s off my 02 s500 sold for a mere $1200 with almost new original tires. and that was like 3 years ago.
i remember someone on this forum sold their c32 wheels in good condition with tires for like $600.
but hey, good luck u might be better off on EBAY
Bought mine last year for $1600 shipped with tires with minimal wear and wheels that were flawless.... I mean no scratch, chips, dents, etc. $1950 is high...and $2500 is unbelievably high! But good luck on the sale. I'm sure someone who wants them bad will grab it.

Thanks. Just for your info, S series AMG wheels are much more readily available and easier to obtain than the wheels I am selling. The C32 rims are not in as high demand either. Again, no one has to buy them, I am just letting this forum know that they are for sale should they be interested. I am just trying to break even on my cost and am even willing to take a little bit of a loss. For the members here, I will sell it at below my cost of $2,300 ($1,599 for professionally refinished wheels + $115 shipping + $600 for tires and installation). Originally Posted by AdaMBombC32G

I am really surprised that Sr. members are part of the price police.
On all the forums I read in the B/S area this is looked down upon. If a person places an ad, they have the right to place whatever value on the item they like. You and I don't have to agree or buy it but out of respect we should just pass over. If someone asks what they are worth then opinion away.
OK Flame away

No, I wasn't trying to knock him, rather just let him know that that's a pretty high asking price. Occasionally, people list things for sale and really don't know how much to charge so write a random number that comes to there head. What they sometimes fail to realize is at that price you can walk into a Mercedes-Benz Dealership, not only buy the product, but have the expensive Mercedes-Benz Technicians install the part on your car.Originally Posted by Zoom On

Good luck with your sale. I will admit these are not common wheels (C-Class/CLK 18" AMG).

You missed my point, he did not ask for comment on what he should ask or what they are worth. He simply plasced an ad with what HE felt they were worth to him and maybe a potential buyer. I would hope someone would not walk into a place of business and pick up an item some on is thinking of buying and go man that is over priced and screw up a sale for the shop owner. Let a free mkt deside that if he is high he won't sell.
When I first came on I did ask what a fair price was on a set of rims value was but that was different than selling and ask my price.

THANK YOU Zoom On. I appreciate the input. I am very savy when it comes to fair market value, as I did my homework on the purchase of these wheels as I do with everything that I purchase...believe me. Some say I spend too much time researching, but be that as it may, I know what past ebay auctions for these EXACT wheels have gone for. This is certainly not a random number. It is based on market value and cost. People are entitled to their opinions, but I'd rather you just not say anything and just don't buy the wheels. Somebody else will buy them and at a fair, market price. Tee TZ, your comment was not at all objectionable. So again, if anyone wants them, let me know and we'll work something out. If not, that's fine too...

Zoom on, people here are merely trying to help him. If he wants to find a buyer on this board, consisting mainly of members that know their stuff, he cannot expect to offer them used wheels (no matter if with/out scratches, dings etc) for the price he bought them for or something close.
Its like driving your new car of the lot, owning it for 5k miles (slightly used) and you'd expect for someone else to pay close to what you paid ... not gonna happen, unless that person is totally misinformed or stupid when it comes to buying a car.
Nevertheless, good luck with your sale parisv, but I doubt youre gonna find a buyer here if you dont adjust the price
PS: I love the wheels, but maybe I'm biased a little

Yes, $2,100 for MBWorld members. Remember, that these are less than 6 months old and they're "like new" (except for the minor scratch or two). Anyway, that price does not include shipping though...Originally Posted by tee_tz

I guess you don't get it or fail to see the difference between selling something and setting your price wright or wrong, to high or to low and some one asking for a worth or value on something they are thinking of selling. It is the sellers job to do FMV and he heels he has. I just don't think it is far for someone to set a price and our members to say it is not worth that much. It may not be worth it to you or all of us but he will find out if they don't sell. I wil say it again not to be a smart a$$ but we are not the price police, if you think he is high send a pm.Originally Posted by kickR
