springs do all the "dropping". shocks/struts do not control the height.

OMG...You're so confused about so many things. I hope you're not still giving people advise on what to do with their cars.

If I can ever get some H&R springs, I'd be happy to sell you the one's off of my 04 c230! How much would you pay for them?

Depends on whether or not I buy new shocks, I suppose...but at least the springs. I plan on doing this VERY soon.

Yeah, it does ride pretty high, that's why I'm changing the suspension...here are some pictures.

I bet it would still drop the c320 by an inch though.

It looks about the same with my C230 sedan (not SS) when it was still riding with stock suspension. So,it's pretty much the same height with Y's car.

Ok, from someone who has done it (springs only), it'll drop the front about an inch and the rear's will stay about the same, maybe 1/4" lower. I have #2 pads. I'm guessing do to the C230 having less weight in front, it'll probably drop the front 3/4" to 4/5", something to that effect. Overall i'm happy with it. If you close up pics of the gaps let me know.

Oh ya, the 01-04 sport models suspension is slightly different than the 01-04 luxury models. I don't know if that'll make any difference in the ending ride height. I do think that all of the sport models have a #2 pad though.
