The BEL sti driver destroys the V1 in testing....
http://www.radartest.com/article.asp?articleID=100542
V1 used to be state of the art for many years in the 90's but they've done NOTHING in recent years to improve their product. I've read reports in the magazine's where both the Passport and Bel are supreme to it now. V1 will always make their claim of the "arrows" but outside of that they have not done much--especially when it comes to getting rid of false alarms. I do think that they still remain supreme in laser over the other products. I think also you need to look at where you live, each detector performs better in one category (pop-for instance the X50 is best, and destroys the V1, but the V1 is better with laser than the X50). There is material out there on these.
I think it comes down to preference in the end.
