*edit* no longer a feeler, it's officially for sale *edit*

I'm thinking about selling my NEW Carbon Fiber Euro Trunk Insert for the w203 (C-Class).

I bought it and tried to put it on, but it looks like it'll take some modification or special mounting and I really don't want to deal with that. Right now, it's just sitting in the box.

But, I think I may get some help and try to put it on this weekend...

For those of you that haven't seen it, here's a pic:

I want $130 shipped for it. I paid $130 shipped for it and I refuse to take a loss on this (aside from the costs of me shipping it). The item is brand new and has never been used. If I can't sell it without a loss, I'm just going to mount it in my garage or put it up on a wall or something.

Here are some pictures of the same thing on BrabusAnt's car:

*edit* here are more pics:

I'll accept new 4300k or 3000k 9006 SLIM HID kits as a trade.

it is the same one BrabusAnt has. it's not a straight swap. you need to find some way to secure it to the trunklid aside from that one screw in the middle. (the oem one has molding on push pins, etc., this one doesn't)

nlpamg, I noticed in a different post you mentioned your ipod kit. Could you elaborate on the kit for me please? Thanks

oh, I answered it in that post! but, it's just the OEM iPod integration kit from MB. so that you can plug in your iPod to the car and then control it from the steering wheel controls and look at the tracks/songs on your multifunction display. it only works on certain models.

What about the 4 screws for the license plate? Don't they secure the trunk insert there? Just wondering.

perhaps, that may work. but if you've ever taken out the oem insert you'll find that it has molded things that stick out in the back. this one is smooth. so it looks like maybe that one screw, adhesive and some zip ties...

Wsup Phil,

I mounted mine over my Euro License Insert with 3M tape. I was too lazy to remove the whole License insert to try to fit it. So did it that way and worked fine.

pics of it on my car:

Will it only take a euro plate? Does it have to be drilled to fit US plates?
