I just retrofitted a COMAND into my 2004 C320, so now I have an Audio 10 less than 2 mos old ready to go. Email me if anyone is interested and make me an offer.
Did you get it from "grafz444" and what kind of manual do you have with it?
the COMAND was from Steve - with the original hardcover Euro Manual
the Audio 10 was stock - original manual available.
Sorry, wasn't sure which one you were referring to

Then you are talking about the stock cassette HU and not the CD; correct?

ExploreThat's what it says on my purchase slip - Bose Audio 10 and it looks like all of the pics that I've seen on here and on eBay. It has the ability to select ambience including Driver, Small, Medium, Large room, etc.
Purchase slip? I thought you said it was stock? Afterall you are talking about the stock HU in your C320, aren't you? Pics of that slip please.
the slip stuck on the window of the car when you pick it up.
This is not aftermarket - if you guys wanna play 20 questions - I'm down - at this point we still have 15 more questions to play. If I wanted to cheat someone, you think I'd do it on a MB board that people would probably know something about it?
Anyhow, whatever the case - its the one that's in the 2004 C320
Bose® sound system with 10 speakers, including a dash-mounted center fill speaker and a 9" Nd® Neodymium Iron Boron high-efficiency woofer. Bose AudioPilot™ digital processing helps compensate for unwanted ambient noise with virtually no perceived change in audio volume.
If that's not the Audio 10 then I stand corrected. But the radio sure looks like all the other ones that are posted on this board and on Ebay.

Nope, you loose.
Thats not Audio 10 over here. Your very own statement confirmed it as much. BTW, that sticker is called the Monroney (sp?) sticker or something like that. 10 speakers does not equate to Audio 10.

Please educate then because there sure isn't an option for an audio system on the MB site or at the dealer. How would you know if it's an Audio 10 or not if the HU looks the same?

First of all I'd like to say; Glad you got a sense of humor. Originally posted by dc2774

The HU utilized overhere is not available in Germany. The *real* Audio 10 casette looks similar to the Audio 10 CD. In Germany you will get many more options and thats where these model designation originate. You have one which is a single DIN size NAV radio similar to Harmon Kardon (sp?) Traffic Pro and one which is known as Command overhere in addition to the 2 Audio 10 versions. Lynn, correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't take things personal! I'm just here to try to contribute and learn.
The reason why I thought this was an Audio10 was because of the different features associated with it. I sat in a different W203 and the radio looked different; it didn't have as many options; and the cassette doesn't fold down like this one. I thought this was the Audio 10 that people were talking about. Plus all of the CD changer controls, the phone control, I believe it has RDS as well, etc. I switched to the EURO COMAND, so this HU is essentially brand new.
Anyhow, My FAULT. I'll try to take a picture of it and post. Maybe that'll be easier.

There is no need for that. There are only 2 versions over here. They are mainly differentiated by the bezel around the HU. 1 is your std DIN and the other has a more rounded look on the RH side which includes the buttons. You might have seen a foreign version judging from your discription and W203 statement.

Here is a pic of the Becker Audio 10 CC, the cassette Audio 10:
The single DIN headunit with navigation is the Becker Audio 30 APS, which is similar to the HarmanKardon/Becker TrafficPro:
The Audio 30 APS cannot be used in the US because there is no mapping software for it. The TrafficPro software will NOT work in the Audio 30.
As far as I know, the Alpine cassette headunit that is standard in North America does not have an Audio XX name. I have never found any official documentation which gives it any name.
