Pictures would be nice. If it's in good shape, you could probably get $6k on eBay. I saw a 65 sell for $6100.

Thanks for the assist, revstriker.
The car comes with some replacement leather seat panels. They need to be dyed to matche the rest of the car, but they're in good shape. Mark

Spent a couple hours with the car today. Put 5 gal gas in it, hooked up a battery, and the baby fired right up! I'm impressed! I let it run for a few minutes, turned it off & replaced a leaky fuel line, and let it run for an hour or so. The back suspension went right up and stayed there, but the missing left front valve wouldn't allow the front to go up. All the gauges worked, all the lights worked, interior fan, etc worked. Other than it needing to be serviced in the worst way, and running quite rich, this baby is ready for the road (as soon as I find that pesky valve). I got NO bids at $4K on ebay, so I'm at a crossroads. Do I try & find the valve, service and tune it, or do I let it sit & occasionally try to sell it? I'm afraid of putting more money in it than I can reasonably get for it later. Can anybody advise me? Anybody got a valve they can sell me (cheap, of course :^) )? Oh yeah, 98% rust free! Some minor surface at the edges of some panels, and some rusty chrome on the front bumper. The rest of the chrome is in excellent shape. This is a gem!

Rusty piece of ....
I finally got over to the car & jacked it up. Turns out the darn thing IS a rust bucket. Jack point pulled right out when I started jacking it up. I'm sorry I wasted your time on this piece of cr@p. I guess I'll try & sell it off as a parts car. Mark

The saga continues
I guess it's been a while since I posted on this, so I should update a bit. I had a fellow email me a few days ago, who wanted to look at the car. He was local & came out the next day. He poked & prodded & lifted mats & pounded on the floors, then pronounced the pans to be solid. It's rusted in front of and in back of the wheels, but otherwise is fine. Soooooo......time to look at getting it running. I've got to find a drivers' side valve for the air suspension before anything else. Anybody got one lying around they'd sell me? Anyway, here's what happened today.
I went out to the car today, and it took about 5 minutes of finding out how to get to the ignition switch from behind, the correct jiggleing of what wires, and a small screwdriver to hold the key in the run position, but the car fired up & ran nicely. I let it run for about 45 minutes, and while I was there a couple of 20-somethings drove by, slammed (literally) on the brakes & came & parked in the driveway. They were all over the car, asking all kinds of questions, and trying to get me to take a motorhome or boat or something in trade for it. They'd seen it there for the last 2 years, and wondered if it ran. Now they know. I gave them my business card, and told them $3500.00 cash, and they went on their merry way.
The back end pumped up nicely, so I should be able to get it on a flatbed this week, and out to the wreking yard where I store my parts cars, so I can work on it a bit easier. Once I get the suspension valve, I'll see about getting it to the shop for a servicing, and get that old gas out of it. It's running rich because of 2-3 year old gas mixed with some stablizer & minimal new gas. Only time will tell what happens next. Stay tuned....

Well if we were, that would go for several hundred thousand, instead of $45,000... but my point wasn't about the Gullwing, but rather age/condition and price.

Update
I drove the SE to the house this afternoon! WooHoo! Engine drove nicely, trans has all the gears, brakes worked OK, suspension didn't drop to the ground. All in all a nice drive home. I am getting a rubbing sound from the right rear, so I think a brake pad may be sticking, and there's a clunk from the driveshaft, other than that, everything seems to work. The guy who followed me home says I started out with brake lights on both sides, but only had the drivers' side when I turned into my driveway, so I might have a bad bulb. If that's the worst of it, I can't complain. He also mentioned I was dropping a fair amout of dirt & rust from time to time. :^) Needless to say, I'm quite happy. Now I can wash it off & see how it looks under all that dirt. I'm going to leave the car in the regular setting for the suspension, to see if it leaks down overnight. All I need to do now is replace the broken drivers' side window, and replace the moulding that holds the trunk lock in place, and it'll have all it's parts again.
