2024 CLE53 amg

We've seen the CLE launch and wondering when the AMG config will launch.
From all I've been able to find out the CLE AMG should use the new M256 making 429 HP @ 6100 rpm and 384 ft-lb of torque from 1800 rpm and up. Awesome numbers! Wait, what? Only 384 ft-lb? What is important is how early the power comes on, 1800 rpm! And maintaining that level up to 'almost' max hp (just speculating as I haven't seen the hp/tq curve) is spectacular. It's the area under the curves that makes a car fast, not just peak numbers. Amazing what can be done with a boost controller and an electric motor driven turbo.
If there is a CLE63 the power should be upwards of there.
Ciao for now...

Yes, I agree, a pretty great car. I've only seen one other Brilliant Blue, it was a convertible. Otherwise very few C43 coupes around. Probably what contributed to MB's decision to go all-4-door with the C-Class.
V6 motor, brakes, suspension and exhaust note (better with flaps open) are stellar and, the design is the best looking coupe on the market bar none - IMO. And, the gas mileage can be surprisingly good if you don't romp on it.
I do have a few gripes about the transmission, it's a little schizophrenic. Got a new valve body in Feb but didn't solve the sharp upshift when coasting issue that I was concerned about. But other than that just some minor nits; Nav system is wonky - keeps reporting "Traffic Events" when there aren't any, seat belt retractor doesn't always retract, and that wonderful welcome graphic doesn't display when you get in and start the car. You get that stupid message, "Don't forget your key" when getting in...so how did I get in if I didn't have the key (fob).
I would have bought the same exact car in 2024; 2-Door with all of the new tech, 4-wheel steering, 245Ft/275Rr tires and the great camera system.
So now I await the new CLE53. I hope that it will be available as a 2024 model.

I agree, it doesn't make sense, especially how we only had an E 400 and 450 here in coupe/convertible (C238 gen specifically) form.

but the coupé works better for me.
