24? 25?
So, what happens to the coupes in ~ a few months, do they then become 25’s, or remain as 24’s?
Would MB have such a short model year, and why just coupe specific?
Normally, or a least in the past, July began the new MY.
I ordered a 53 coupe for my wife last week with a late July early August ETA. We don’t lease so getting a 24 in July/August, then being offered as a 25 ~ a few months later would be a bit disconcerting to say the least.
Any thoughts on MB’s logic here? Why aren’t they both 25’s? Or is the cab’s release more than just ~ a few months after the coupe’s?

Me: "Well I've waited this long to buy the car, BUT I don't LIKE these incessant delays and year naming shenanigans!"
The bottom line seems to be that MB/AMG are driven by other priorities besides building and delivering our cars. Since we are "loyal" customers they don't seem to care. "The customer is always right" is not a European mantra, it's strictly an American thing. Chevy, Ford, Cadillac and Lincoln cars suck (IMO) so we wait impatiently for our AMG's. I should live long enough...

The order for my car was made in March. As of June 3, my rep confirmed that the car is built. I have a VIN number, PO# and price list for "MODEL: 2024 CLE53C4".
Others have reported 24's on the way as well. From my "My 2024 CLE 53 is on order" thread!, on June 9:

The rep said build date for 7/22 and delivery around mid September. He told me this was an allocation/order they had already put in but were able to change the configuration to what I wanted since it was still in the "yellow" phase where changes to the order can be made.

I'm sure that the First 2024 CLE 53 to arrive in the USofA and be delivered will be announced with great fanfare. And now we wait...
Plus, my car is pushing 75,000 miles and I can almost sense it depreciating. I'm due for a new CLE asap.
My sense is that every CLE built has been sold but there isn't a lot of pent-up demand for more. Summertime is vacation time so there may be a planned slowdown in production.
I've seen the GT ad with Lewis Hamilton played during the F1 race coverage and MB electric, hybrid and IC SUV's, but there hasn't been any advertising for NEW CLE model.
I guess we're a very small group who want a higher performance car from AMG. I think that the CLE is a real stand-out in appearance and once more of them hit the roads more people will take notice and ask, "Wow, what is that?!?".

And forget the GT 63's, another $41k+, so no dice for me either. To me these are mid-life-crisis-drive-on-Sunday cars, like new Corvettes and Porsche's. And while you're at it why not consider an Aston Martin Vantage? I need a car that I can drive every day in any weather. And that's the CLE 53 for me.
So, why aren't GT's selling?...not enough rich old guys?
No discount on my car. I was told by the rep that I wasn't being charged a premium. So, I guess that'll have to do and, "pray that they don't alter the deal any further."
