UPDATE AFTER THE FIRST 500 MILES... This is hands down a much smoother ride than my 2022 E53. Drove from Chicago to Cleveland then Pittsburgh today and it felt so buttery smooth on the highway, even some of the worst Chicago roads like the skyway that could destroy cars and trucks. Both my son and I agree. Seats were plenty comfortable for the 8 plus hours we sat in them. The amount of customizations helped get me in the right spot and the deep massage hit just the right spots to keep me driving back pain free. I've pretty much figured out the infotainment system and find it is just as good if not better than the previous one.

That is awesome, I am glad to have this vehicle on my shopping list. Sounds like the CLE 53 is actually an improvement to an E 53 and that is a very good thing!

Probably what your seeing is the CLE coupe is based on a different platform than the E class. My 2019 E450 Cabriolet rode nearly as good as my S class. I thought maybe it was the tires so I put the same micheline Primacy 3's on my 2019 E 450 Wagon hoping it would ride similar to the E450 Cabriolet, nope not even close, the Cabriolet still rode much better which was based on the 238 Platform and the E450 Wagon is based on the 213 which I believe the older E53's were as well. The 213 Wagon I have tends to bottom out on sharp bumps, the Cabriolet I use to have never did that.

So you are saying the C238 shared the same platform as the C217?

Did OP had a E 53 sedan or E 53 coupe, I forgot.

Sorry for the confusion. The 238 platform is e class but a lot different than my e class wagon and the 4 door sedans which is 213. I always wished my wagon ride half as good as that 2019 238 Cabriolet I had. The surprising thing was the Cabrio was the amg line and my wagon which I currently still have is the luxury line. I’ve thought about trading the 2019 wagon I have now in for a brand new 2024 all terrain as I really do need a wagon with that car. But I’m kinda afraid I might regret doing so as the 214 is kinda too tech heavy and that big touch screen that controls a lot of things kinda scares me. If mb sold the 214 e53 wagon in the USA I’d have to take the risk and get that car. Not super crazy about the all terrains.

Ah I appreciate the clarification, I understand now.

Correct me if I am wrong but it looks like a 2 Series coupe. Similar body lines, and fixed quarter windows. The longitudinal hood line is parallel to the ground.

Jut to be clear, that's in just the lower cushion only? If so, that's awesome!

I don't think the CLE and 2er look alike at all...

Do you have the Pinnacle Package including Digital Lights with projection? If so, what has your experience been? Do the road projections work as advertised?

They do. It caught me off guard yesterday when on cruise I signaled to change lanes and a bright light projected on the highway showing it.

Wonderful
When you get a chance, can you take a pic of the passenger area floor space when the seat is pulled/titled full forward for entry/exit...assuming this is automatic when activated.
Thx

The 2 series is much smaller, much narrower. they look nothing alike.

To me, the CLE looks a lot like the evolution of the C205 coupe but longer, that is the point because they want to make a more luxurious C-Class and a sportier E-Class.

That’s good to hear. I’ve heard conflicting information on whether the projections were available in the US. Some say US law doesn’t allow the Digital Light projections. I’d love to hear more about other experiences with the Digital Light with projection system in these cars.

In my C43, that I've had for a year now, only does the lane changing symboling (and of course the start animation).

I have not seen it perform the full suite of features.

I looked on the web to build one. I was disappointed to learn that I can’t order red with a red top. Like I currently own. I tapped on red top and the car went to black.
