2024 CLE AMG53, 2019 VW Tiguan SEL
Driver & central display blank…
2024 CLE AMG53, 3700 +/- miles,
The vehicle started normally, but no welcome chime and my driver display is blank, and so is the central display, no volume, no response to home button.
I rebooted, with the same results. I backed out of garage (no back-up camera view in display). Lights and door puddle emblems ok.
At start up I hear a noise coming from the drivers display and driver door area, it sounds as if some solenoid/switch or what have you clicking, trying to engage or?
I drove it about a mile, with blank displays. Front and rear turn signals were blinking, headlights ok.
I visited the service bay at my local MB dealer yesterday. I drove to the dealer (23 miles away), about 11 miles in, both displays and all else were back on.
However now I have a “check engine light” on.
I was assigned a mechanic. I’m hoping it can be resolved quickly and correctly, but who knows at this point. Wish me luck.

I just drove 23 miles home after picking up my CLE 53.
According to the documents, testing and procedures, it was a software update that solved the issues.
No problems with both displays and none of my preferences were eliminated.
So we will see how stable this software update remains.
There are 32 modules on my 53, wow, that is a lot of potential problems.
I yearn for the days of simplicity and not so many safety nannies and app. features, but I like the HP, lol..

32 modules seems lesser than expected, I heard there were hundreds of modules.
