Hello All,
Finally my CLE53 arrived at the local AMG dealer.
One Question for USA owners. Were you able to place the number plate in the middle of the front bumper ?
It appears that the number plate as per MB need to be placed on the left and not the middle - looks really unnatural.
Thank you

It is mainly due to airflow and I guess the size of the plate, maybe if it was the European plate, it wouldn't had been an issue. They designed it for that style plate after all.
With the recent models, MB has moved the front license plate holder to the side. I agree it looks horrible. I don't recall if the skinnier Euro plates are center mounted. To be honest, front license plates look horrible either way, so I drive around without one. Worst case it's a Fix-It ticket and I can pay the fine or rig something up temporarily, such as a tow hook mount to get sign off and then remove it again. I've only ever gotten one ticket for not having a front license plate while parked on the streets in San Francisco. Since then I don't park on the streets anymore if I head to the city. I rarely actually park on the streets anywhere and at home the car is garaged and out of sight. Cops can't pull you over for not having a front license plate. They can only cite you for it if they pull you over for another violation or if it's parked on the street, at least that's the case here in Cali. I'm certainly by far not the only one driving around w/o a front plate.
Hmmh, you made me check my recent AMG Experience photos and yes, the EU plates are centered. Strangely, the one I photographed in Tokyo also has a US sized (Japanese plates are the same size) centered plate, so seems there is a center mount even for the US sized plates. May have to order it from Japan.

Does anyone know if there's a way to repair the holes left behind by this thing? I'm assuming it's installed with self-tapping screws?
Basically filler, then sanding and repainting if you want it to look new. I had to have a front license plate while doing European Delivery, so they drilled my front bumper in Germany, but the VPC repaired it when the car arrived in the USA and it looked like it never happened. I don't know if they put on a whole new bumper or just repaired the holes and repainted it. I never looked behind it to see if it was repaired.
